this is not to debate your post @@Madrigal. i just woke up with lady rappers on my mind and wanted to share some live performances Northern State MC Sweet Tea Jean Grae https://youtu.be/ogz9BSS7xho?t=16s
  7. iirc, it was spaghetti with vodka sauce and then people were all like, OH NO - she's back on the sauce, fell off the wagon, that dish is made with liquor! and then in comes the knowledge that most of the alcohol burns off during the cooking process. oh well, i still swear i got drunk off a kahlula cake once. Also, I think what Barrie said could be taken as "No, it's not over" as in he and Lana will always have a special bond, memories of their times together, and (lol) he was praying for an openly poly relationship with her and her lover(s) and lots of post break up sexy times.
  8. No One Knows - i gotta include the video cuz i love his sneer what is art?

oh my gawwwd i love this thread, i think i just liked every post. i will have to come back and make a post with better links but after browsing this here are some groups /people not yet mentioned (that i have seen live, so this aint just 10 hype men yelling over a karaoke track crap rap): Lupe Fiasco - featured on Touch the Sky with Kanye, Push Kick, American Terrorist, he has newer albums but the first one is a great place to start The Roots - good lawd so much to list, but Black Thought is one of my favorite male rappers - check his freestyle PUBLIC ENEMY - this is a homework assigement for anyone who hasn't heard this, you gotta hear the first album and just block out all you know about Flavor Flav on reality TV. RIP Eric Garner rage against the machine - ok i have ventured into is this hip hop or rap or rap rock, but f it. RATM is classic and was revolutionary back in the day. i dont even know what song to link, they are so many. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w211KOQ5BMI Arrested Development - they were before the TV show, i love the positive vibes and group mentality Doomtree - i think they are still on tour, get out there and see em. this is a rap collective, most of the artists also do good solo shit i also added a bunch of artists to my 'gotta listen to it list' from this thread.
  10. this is now my favorite lana lyric of all time.
  11. i am in love with those shoes. in music news, latest acquisition is A$AP Rocky's ALLA
  12. Cherry Cola - Eagles of Death Metal
  13. i think we should rename this place Lanabroads but i dont want to alienate the mens.
  14. i bet she wears those while she plays her game boy
  15. it's drink a cherry cola lime i love her little dance moves in this song. i'm also cryingggggggggggggg that i missed her on this tour. i have seen most of it vicariously with the help of lanaboards and the awesome fans who post video and audio. oh the emotions, i'm still stunned over Jon Snow and then she goes and plays FK in FLORIDA. please more FK videos, i need them for my SHRINE
  16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LemIoaLRRzU&feature=youtu.be can i get an AMEN for those BOOTS BABAY? that's so Nancy Sinatra 'these boots were made for walking'
  17. one of the other issues with festivals is that musicians have to adapt to the festivals' sound system and sound engineers. when she is on HER tour, her and her team have more control and knowledge of the sound equipment since it is theirs. i wasnt there so i dont know, but this is something i've noticed when seeing bands on their own tours vs. seeing them at a festival - its harder to get the sound exactly the way the musicians prefer.
  18. i love Intro, i think i listened to it for an entire work day. there's a 10 hour version of the song, pretty sure it just loops but still. i could listen to it in its entirety. i'm burning joss and waving sage in hopes that Lana collabos will be more fruitful in the future, b/c the Beach Boys & A$AP broke my heart. no wait, the cancellation of the Dallas show broke my heart, <<cue shedding of tears>>
  19. Down in the Dark - Mark Lanegan w/backing vocals from Kurt Cobain
  20. thanks for keeping us up to date @@buster
  21. like a drug (live and unplugged) - queens of the stone age
