This. Both NFR and LFL had delayed physicals. The album will be released digitally and physicals will come later. It will be out by the end of September. Periodt. The album is ready. It is being teased. Interscope wants that money! I don’t see a release for her being after September and I don’t see them pushing it back till next spring so we are where we are.Again, we’re just speculating that she shot the album cover today, and even if she is, then it wouldn’t take a whole month to edit it. And masters generally take long for physical releases so they can be pressed to vinyl. We’ve seen that Lana has released projects digitally first (Violet) and then seen a vinyl release, so there’s a chance the album will be released online on the 4th or 5th and then a vinyl will come a few months later.
Bottom line it’s coming and I’m still expecting September.

I hear that same lyric but to me it kind of ties in with the earlier lyric “keep that bottle out of your hand, my man,” like she’s trying to tell him to take her, be with her, and use her body so he doesn’t drink. I get the vibe that the man in the song has a drinking problem and she’s reflecting on her feelings and whether or not she is enough.i hear "trade this body for the/that can of gin"
referring to sex work id assume ?? guess we wont know till its out!!! something exciting about not even being sure of what shes singing

Honestly the pics on her truck from yesterday would low key serve as a cover.
As far as Nicole if she is not doing something with Lana she is a major troll for all the hype on that post.
Idk why but I still think that shoot from her in the vintage jaguar is going to make an appearance. Rather that’s the album cover or not idk!
Hoping for more news today but would be okay with next week. Feel like we are def getting a single and homemade video SOON.
-
Nicole just posted about Lana lol. All these people @‘ng her. Convergence of something big! Let it be!!!!

I didn’t initially get the Honeymoon comparisons either but I can see/hear it now. It’s just the opulence that Honeymoon had. I think it just comes from the richer sound, production, layers. While I love NFR and it is one of my favorites it lacked that richness.

As far as the lyric debate, this is what I hear.
You should stay close to Jesus.
Keep that bottle out your hand, my man
Find your way back to my bed again.
Sing me like a bible hymn.
We should go back to our Kansas/Arkansas.
Trade this body for that can of gin.
Like a little piece of heaven
I’m no candle in the wind.
You should come back to our place, baby.
Don’t be afraid of our love.
I like how the two lines referencing drinking are like pleading for him not to. It just seems like an interesting little insight if those are the lyrics. Like pick me over the alcohol. Just the way I’m taking it.
I am expecting something today with all the talk from the stylist. Def seems like that shoot was either for music video or some sort of cover rather that be single or album. Def getting single release vibes! Let us pray.
Either way very interesting sound. Not necessarily the direction I thought. Def not expecting the whole album to sound like this though.

Sounds like more production. Strong CG vibes! Excited to hear in full. She is finally fucking coming!

Talking about that promo spot Interscope is posting makes me think of that other one from a week or two with the broken iPhone screen of SS.
I highly doubt they are sponsoring those and discounting BTD for no reason. Something is definitely coming! I could be delusional but it makes sense in my mind. I even want to say some of the same tactics were applied during previous rollouts.
It’s a more low key era, yes. That said though they know Lana is a guaranteed moneybag for them as far as merch/physicals. I’m sure they are trying to bump things up a bit and exploit that a bit for the official announcement of the new album. Especially considering touring really isn’t an option atm!
I feel like Young and Beautiful is a more well known/popular song. They are probably trying to just cater to the regular/locals a bit more for the promo.true, but then why would young and beautiful be included over video games or blue jeans?

It could be. But on all of her socials, it was captioned: Tulsa Jesus Freak: White Hot Forever, which makes me think it’s a two-part title.
This is another option I’ve thought about too! Any way I go about it though it comes back being a song.
-
Idk about TJF but WHF has to be a song. It’s very possible that Tulsa Jesus Freak / White Hot Forever are just poems from the full book that didn’t make the audio version, but the fact that her album was almost called White Hot Forever and that we assume there is/was a title track of that name still gives me hope that TJF/WHF is related to music and not just poetry.
Like you said she had mentioned it as a “record” she was working on right after NFR. As far as it having been the actual album title I’ve always questioned that. Lana could have meant record as in a single track. I think she’s been known to describe things like this before, interchangeably. MTWBT for example.
I really have a feeling that TJF and WHF are going to be double release like GL/SB VB/MAC FILY/The Greatest. Worst case scenario WHF is a song and TJF is a poem that is somehow related to that song that maybe adds additional insight or another layer.

I think MAC is so underrated only because it came out one year before the album. This song is one of Lana's best and top3 in NFR for sure. I think I won't listen to any snippets or even a lead single before the album this time.
Yessss. MAC is one of the best songs on NFR for sure. One of my faves from her catalog honestly. It doesn’t get the credit it deserves.
-
I honestly prefer this era, as quiet as it is, to the NFR mess.
Yes to both of these!also, one thing we can appreciate if it does come out in september is one of the kind of most disappointing points of NFR was having the singles stretched over such a long period of time. i can’t imagine how hard that album must hit hearing it for the first time as one.
This release is way more smooth and mellow. Minus the obvious “controversies” which I think add a bit of flavor honestly.
This really does remind me of Honeymoon prerelease in a sense. Just like this chill, warm, and fuzzy feeling. Idk lol! Now we just need a single. That said though I wouldn’t mind her not dropping anything before the release. Just give us the cover and the track list is all I ask!
-
This song is amazing! The lyrics, the sentiment, the storytelling! Perfect. Not to mention the religious overtones and southern vibes. Everything about it speaks to my soul.
-
This is what I’ve been wondering and thinking myself.Yes, but fuck knows why.
The poem seems to be about someone who doesn't understand her so they can't be together, so hopefully that's what she's getting at re: him.
-
I’m really feeling like the production on Violet will carry over. I’m so excited for the album. Violet paired with her recent insta posts of older movies just makes me think that’s the direction we are taking! Introspective, cinematic, noir - I’m here for it! Fingers crossed.
-
This wasn’t one of my favorites but the line where she referenced things Joe doesn’t know and how large her sadness is really hits for me. It may not be one of my fave of the poems themselves but that is one of my fave lines.

Mine was on Audible at about 4am when I woke up!
First listen thoughts - insightful, vulnerable, visceral.
Childhood, fame, and love are three things that def weigh on her.
I feel like this is the most real and personal project we have ever received. It is truly beautiful and shaking to the core. Seeing into her mind, thoughts, and feelings is very relatable and soothing but disconcerting at the same time. It’s very provoking and just a diff feeling than a normal musical release.
I was really surprised by the production. I’m really hoping that this is a segue into COCC and these same elements are carried over. Very excited for the album now.
All the poems are beautiful. It’s just another insight into her that we don’t see so often. Very atmospheric. Anyways standouts on 1st listen for me are LA, 1000 Fires, Cypress Thriving, Sportcruiser, Happy, and Bare Feet on Linoleum.

I had noticed this too the other day. Ed has though. He didn’t a couple of posts but has liked the majority of them including the two most recent. Ben though has not! I find it interesting. Could be nothing of course but just like hmmm. I wonder if maybe they have split their duties in a sense. Like Ed handles Lana and Ben stays with others, Dua more specifically.it’s so odd Ben & Ed haven’t been liking her posts / commenting ... ? her band has.

Idk to hit more on my previous post about the honeymoon era field pics. I can def see something in the vein of Christina’s World, the painting. Kind of like detached and expansive view. Maybe we can’t see her face. Maybe she is in a large open field/golf course sprawled on her back looking up at the sky @ a country club of course lol. Just a vibe in my mind.
-
Talking about the cover I kind of wouldn’t mind a cover made by the same artist who did Violet, of course a scene more related to the title/album. But if it’s a regular cover I would like something subtle with Lana less as a focal. Something kind of like the honeymoon era pics with her in the field.

Some things will always remain classic. I don’t care lol. I’m fucking living for it too! With a title like Let Me Love You Like a Woman (which should make the cut), I get the singer-songwriter vibe of NFR and it should have that feel also. The «Here From Eternity» clip she posted on Saturday, if related at all the album's aesthetics, gives me some old Hollywood tragic love stories vibes and I am fucking living for those, as «out of time» or «dated» as they are.
