I’ll probably regret putting this but I can’t be the only person hearing it lol! It kind of reminds me of a more adult/mature pre 1989 Taylor Swift track. I don’t mean that in a bad way, I quite liked her stuff especially up to Speak Now. I just wasn’t expecting to hear that! Like I said in another thread there’s still a whole song to hear. I’m really looking forward to hearing it too but just was a little surprised by the snippet. I’m very intrigued to hear the rest of the lyrics and see where it goes. It’s very pretty!

She doesn’t care anymore, she’s over it! She’s done wasting her time thinking or caring.

I’m excited to hear the song in full! The snippet isn’t an instant wow like I had with MAC. I can tell I will most likely prefer MAC. It sounds very pretty, I love the lyrics juxtaposition to her sweet delivery. I really feel like I can hear Jack on this track more than MAC though. Production wise that is! Just reminds me a bit of some of the past people he’s worked with. There’s still another three to four minutes to hear though! Really looking forward to her talking with Zane too, I normally really enjoy his little interviews.

I'll give you that it is a definite shift in sound and shall we say more "commercial," but it is still a very good album. We all have opinions though, I'd say it is my second fave after INL. I don't know they change depending on my mood lol. Buuuuutttt Dua, really lol. Dua could never. Dua is okay, I really liked her before she shifted to this total pop commercial machine but Lykke and Dua are apples and oranges.

I’ve been wondering what the hell was going on! Like why they get skipped over every time. Yes, stop the slander! They are amazing. Love them both. So what do we speculate here, why do we think they have been removed? Thanks for starting this topic cause it has really been bothering me lol. I just thought my Spotify was fucked up for whatever reason.

Unpopular opinion here but i actually think the video accompaniment fits the song quite well. The vibe, mood, and atmosphere really work for me and it's beautiful. Videos are not what they used to be! Personally I could give two shits about a video. It's the music I'm here for lol. Yes it's nice to have our cake and eat it too but let's be happy for this refreshing/amazing sound and hopeful direction musically. But the "visual" is very pleasing and fitting to the mood of the tune for me.

Just thinking about it all I would really love to hear Jack's perspective about working with Lana. I always enjoy reading the interviews Rick does where he speaks of her, as well as other producers she's worked with. I just think he would have an interesting point of view considering the people he has recently produced. I know it's likely we won't hear about it at all or at least until after the album is out but it just has my mind swimming. Like we would never get the nitty gritty but I really would love to know how he sees and compares Lana to the other more recent pop/alt acts he's produced. -

I'd like something along the lines of MPG/FMWUTTT. I'd just like a guitar heavy song with some bite and nip to it. I would like for her to be assertive, bold, and maybe somewhat aggressive. This is a great description of what I'd like/expect. @@Say Yes to Heaven I just wanted to say that I really love your new avi and signature, a lot lol. Looks great! -

The time between now and release really did worry me when first announced but I’m not that concerned now honestly. She seems to be in a much diff place than even with LFL. Like she seems more inspired and confident in herself and the work she and jack have done. There is always that possibility but with this project I have a feeling it will be released without the nitpick editing of some of the past releases! This album is about her and for her, I don’t see her being too concerned about criticisms or catering to certain people (her fanbase). I see a more concise vision and that being executed regardless of what others say or think. We will see though! -

She literally said that MAC was part of a bigger project, an album, when Annie asked her during the BBC interview. She said that the album was already made and sequenced. She’s just basically waiting for her poetry book to be complete. Not to mention the press release that was sent to music publications said that MAC and Venice Bitch are singles taken from the upcoming album! MAC will be/is supposed to be on the album. That is unless Lana gets a wild hair up her ass and pulls a LFL situation and changes everything at the last minute. That said I don’t see that happening because she is so proud and self assured of the work she’s done for this record. There shouldn’t be any doubt whether or not these songs are for the album! It’s been confirmed both by Lana and her label/management. -

I feel the same way. LFL, as she said, was for the fans in many ways. I'm really here for the personal growth, challenges, and introspection I feel like Lana is going to tackle with this project. Def great things to come! I love it when she doesn't question herself and is driven to her own ends. She's in control and we all are just along for a ride. Strap in, it's going to be beautiful. -
Yes, yes, yes!

We will see how this season continues. Honestly I’m not expecting much. It’s just really disappointing. Over the years it just gets progressively worse and worse. The comic relief/ humor is overkill and almost makes it a caricature of what the original show was! Like it’s a satire, no thanks. I’m not here to watch Scary Movie 10, I’m here to watch American H O R R O R Story. It’s just everything is so overdramatized, camped out, and playful pop culture references. It doesn’t have that mystery, that eeriness, or creepiness that it used to have. The spark and bite that was there is gone and it has just been so overplayed and washed out. That’s just my opinion though.
-
I’m over the campiness honestly. I want a more serious toned season ala murder house and asylum. Opening scene was so campy and dramatized. I will say the opening credits/theme song was the best it has been in a while.

I'm actually feeling MAC. I'd really love it as a title. -

I'm here for it - trees, dunes, beachgrass, waves crashing. Maybe a forest of pines. It sounds so lovely. Funny you mention this cause I was just listening to the NPR interview, again, a couple of days ago. I loved when she shared that little insight. -
The lyrics here are really just amazing. Some of the best she has written, especially here recently. I love how she kind of reworked the lyrics from Yes To Heaven where she mentions the barge at sea and here she mentions commanding your boat. I don't know this song makes me think about that one quite a bit. It's always so nice to see how her lyrics grow and change and evolve on different tracks, truly beautiful.

Yes, I'd love a tree instead. Just the whole vibe of strength, assurance, and stability. We kind of have a taste of it with the MAC single cover with the foliage in the background. I'm here for nature themed visuals - trees, waves, mountains, coastlines, etc. Not to mention green is my favorite color lol! -

This!!!! I'm here for her shedding the persona. It's gradually happening. She is def in a diff place than when she first started. You really just summarized it so nicely. -

The Grammys, February I think. -
I'm going to say only Mariner's Apartment Complex and Venice Bitch. I don't see any of the other making the cut. I think she made all new songs with Jack and the others will stay in the Lana Abyss. I can see all the titles being connected as well which makes me feel like these others may not be in play. But who knows, that's the fun in speculating I guess lol.
