Since it came up on the other page, can anyone confirm if the Max Martin demo we have is a stem edit/fanmade bounce using the official session file? I always thought it sounded off/clunky (like it’s missing plugins and effects) even for a demo, let alone one produced by Max Martin.

Dang thank you for all your hard work compiling all this unreleased/timeline info! Will be so valuable to have these tidbits preserved in writing and not lost to time/buried in threads as the years go by. I honestly feel like the amount of material/info that’s available regarding her unreleased catalog rivals or even surpasses that of some legacy artists. That’s really amazing considering the length of Lana’s career in comparison.

Is this the Hugo Boss campaign in question? It looks like the only fragrance spot they had in 2015/2016. Lol not Abel replacing her if so. But his song matches the feel well. Though the mention of those unleaked versions have me in a chokehold KoZ, Fred again???

The Stint demo is not all that different to this besides the heavier drums. I’m guessing it’s the same case for the other HM demos he worked on.

To expand on this, I can’t remember which interview exactly but I remember Lana saying at one point that the album was going to be a return to the BTD sound with heavy beats. I’m guessing the Stint demos are a result of that.

Yeah I always thought it was interesting that the album copyrights on streaming services are attributed to her name with licensing rights to her labels. I feel like that’s pretty unheard of, especially for a major label artist. Though one thing that sticks out to me is her song catalog on PPL UK Repertoire. If you look at the “recording rightsholder” column of her songs, they all say Universal Music Group. Though shouldn’t it be under her name if she owns them? For example, Serial Killer is one of the songs that come up and it’s recording rightsholder is Peter Ibsen understandably. There’s also that time Dan mentioned how the label threatened to pull the funding for their UV sessions at one point so they definitely have to have some stake in it.

Also random but does this song have some of her lowest sung notes? I can’t recall any other track where she primarily uses her lower register throughout the whole song
