  1. Ok but regardless of whether something tomorrow happens or not shouldn't something be happening this week or next week at the most. we're getting closer to july
  2. can lana honestly work with this producer. scrap lust for life. forget your vintage music and transform queen. i can already imagine the slayage with weird vocal samples of 1940s radio stations with unpredictable vocal runs and hard beats that make you feel like you're going back but forward in time. would end born to die. but seriously i hope she tries to be more experimental with her melodies and sound like lorde did in melodrama speaking of cool samples i also hope there are interludes like this
  3. Yasss. I still listen to K-pop every now and then. Chaeyeon is my avi after all. I'll link the videos later but did anyone listen to/remember Gain's Talk About S album. Literally flawless
  4. Something has to be coming on the 20th or before July at least
  5. starting at 0:32 is mainly what i envision for driving in cars with boys https://www.shutterstock.com/video/clip-1677997-stock-footage-people-playing-pool-in-bar.html and this is for hollywood. idk i get visuals of people playing 8ball idk i think this could work too but if it was "less crazy" and more chill
  6. Nvm. These frustrations need to be vent out. What even is Lust for Life Lust for Life's evolution so far (?): • Early concept - "50s/60s Shangri-Las, early Joan Baez influences" - Basically Honeymoon Pt. 2 Ex: Love Demo • Originally finished album planned for release on May 26 - Updated sound/production Ex: Love (Final Version), Lust for Life, Cherry *Don't think Daisy Chains was featured on the original tracklist. Got the impression the album was more centered on big, cinematic ballad-like songs. "The songs on the record possess an incredible richness in production" "I tell her the song feels grandiose in production, anthemic in verse" - From Flaunt Interview • New version with added tracks and changed artwork (?) to reflect diversified sound with tracks like Daisy Chains Idk my only concern is that the new songs will interfere with the seriousness she was going for with this record. Daisy Chains sounds more fun than meaningful and I'm not saying all the tracks need to be holy scriptures about life and the secret to happiness but "wrap you up in my daisy chains" on the same album with songs like GBA and Yosemite? Also not to drag Cherry but when I think of it within the context of the album I feel like it's a filler track. I love the lyrics but I feel like they are quite bland thematically. Like they don't show a new side of Lana or her thoughts. "I fall to pieces" falls short when you compare it to other tracks with the same theme. Like it tells the same story without offering something different. One of the interviews said Yosemite was "a beautiful love song about how relationships change over time". That already sounds refreshing. Cherry sounds like the product of a Lana song generator. Also let me take this time to drag White Mustang too. Not only is it sonically bland but like Cherry, it makes the theme of the record even more confusing and less meaningful. Sirens has better lyrics tbh. "The day I saw your white mustang" vs. "God bless America and all the beautiful women in it". Like how do these songs even correlate with each other? RBFY is cute but nothing album worthy so it being cut gives me hope and Change immediately conjures up images of ruined towns and villages post-war which isn't necessarily bad but my emotions are confused. Think she should've stuck with BAR as the title. Obviously I could be completely wrong and who knows, maybe the good sis will really serve the next best American record and scalp the critics while snatching that 90+ score on Metacritic. I really don't want to be so negative about this album but I can't when everything we've heard so far sounds like she's regressing as a songwriter. Like how you gonna accept White Mustang as a bop when Ultraviolence, Paradise, and Born to Die exist. Like literally, who is she? I just want Lust for Life to be a pillar on its own and not just a Lana Del Rey album. Regardless, I have/had so much hope for this album that I cannot not like it. I'm so stressed

Love how happy Supercut sounds despite the sadness and longing in the lyrics. Makes me think about all the relationships I've had with people in the past and that it's okay to feel sad about it at times. She really captures feelings well and turns it into a beautiful thing regardless of whether it's good or bad. Something I really loved about PH.
  10. Here's to hoping the preorder accordingly drops sometime next week girlies

  15. I said it first and I'll say it again but I literally won't be surprised if GBA and it's music video/album preorder happens on July 4th. P sure Flaunt Mag suggested that it would be a single. They also said Tomorrow Never Came was a single but I'm putting my bets on GBA as the next song
  16. Queen of Disaster. I was watching SoC (which was also my first Lana song I think) and it came up on the recommendations <3
  17. It sounds like a finished song. Rip @ this making the tracklist and not Roses Bloom for You.
  18. i saw this article in the comments of a reddit threat about that other trash article written about lana and all i have to say is slay this is very well written. fires back at ha critics and explains her appeal really well. defend our queen sis! my favorite lana article ever (also love that she mentioned back to the basics and trash magic ) http://thefederalist.com/2015/11/23/lana-del-rey-conservative-icon/ "In Lana’s world, the Dream is not so much about acquiring material wealth and upward socioeconomic mobility, but about finding tranquility in romantic companionship. In other words, she is content just to get by and to live in the trailer park as long as she has love.." "The judgment that Del Rey “depends on men” is also misguided. Searching for love and belonging is an entirely natural phenomenon. Being transparent about it does not render one powerless or diminish one’s autonomy. The concept of “belonging” repulses the Ms. contingent, which sees it as patriarchal. But “belonging” in this circumstance does not mean objectification, a woman being viewed or treated like property." "In this sense, she may be a more “real” and “relatable” figure for young women to identify with, precisely because she is not a “post-wounded” woman, downplaying her melancholy or her unhappy romances the way that, as Jamison points out, the female characters in Lena Dunham’s television drama “Girls” do." "In the same vein, Lana may sometimes sing about doomed relationships with seedy or violent men, but that does not mean she espouses such a lifestyle for her fans, or that she even seeks it out for herself. She has explicitly said her “public persona and career has nothing to do with my internal process or my personal life.”
