honestly, why isn't this song more popular in lana community? das THE SHIT! the lyrics are so beautiful and sad, almost heart-breaking... especially the part "My dreams are bigger than your junky pride" ... it's such an amazing story about a woman who loves her man but can't watch his drug addiction, they are growing apart, she needs to move on because she cannot help him...

This is sooo a 2006 version of Black Beauty... The lyrics reign in the same context : a lover who is stuck in his old ways while Lana is trying to bring him to something greater, but it never works.

 

"The sun beams mean nothing if you can’t find the light shining in one thing" And come on, this could be a lyric in Black Beauty

 

On another note, it makes me so sad that some people don't like Sirens / Young Like Me / In The End just because of their acoustic sound. If I'm being honest, it has her best lyrics and some AMAZING pure vocals (besides Birds of a Feather ) I don't know what I'd do for Lana just to mention Junky Pride, if it had a 2017 version that sounded like something from UV then it would for sure become one of the stan favs

this song is so strong for such a sweet voice. Listening to this lana from the spear doesn't give you a perception that although she was young, she was mature for her age. observant, meticulous and sensitive. I feel like I'm in a boarding school room in the middle of the night with her like my roommate singing in a whisper and half lost in herself, this song.
