Anyway just my 2 cents; when I got into Ethel I quickly got the notion Lana wouldn't like her, or would feel her work is too derivative... All this stemming from a feeling of being threatened. She's usually so eager to acknowledge up and coming artists ; not a word about Ethel. Lana is also this era-making artist that's just at the top of her career. Usually that's when pop stars draw out their claws and start biting at the new girls arriving on the scene... Unfortunately.

It doesn't bother me at all, I actually think it's pretty cool. I translated the English article into German some time ago and later realised that most of the text was written by Ethel herself. It wasn't bad, because the article was largely neutral and and provided sufficient sources.

so real. even if it was lana actually did nothing lmao. the insider in question is some attention deprived twink (derogatory) who just hates ethel cain for the fuck of it. ever since 2022, i've seen so many lana stans talk shit about ethel on the internet and ethel clapped right back at some individuals in the past but anything thats been direct to lana as far as im aware is out of the question. ethel used to be a fan but listening to lana was something she grew out of.
