Her vocals in Don't Forget are very clear, and they are not clear in Leash. That's probably it. A mixing issue? Idk. It's probably intentional, to the detriment of Leash.

I also get that this was made for a movie, not Masochism, so I acknowledge there's nothing wrong with a cool soundtrack song that just fits a vibe and makes people go "oh cool song! what's that?" rather than a single from an album that becomes everyone's favourite.

I don’t understand why the promotion for the movie is centered so much around Sky? And why they think it’s a good idea to have the movie be sponsored by the most inconsistent artist of the decade second only to Azealia Banks maybe

As I stated in a previous post, The filmmakers are Ferraris & they made a film with taboo elements to then approach Sky nonchalantly about doing a song - in hopes MASOCHISM will be made, I applaud their efforts!

Centered in what way? They made around 5 posts about Leash (the bare minimun), it's a song made specific for the movie, like, why wouldn't they kinda promote it? All I've seen is that the movie will be released this Christmas which now they're promoting it more than ever and all I see is Nicole Kidman getting the centered promo along with Harris Dickinson. Clearly they're aiming for the Oscars.

(not to mention, y'know... the Oscar campaign. These studios won't spend money asking for an original song just because it's cute to have a brand new Sky Ferreira song when they could be just licensing an old song. There's also a very short timeline now until the awards, so they'll be going 100% to make sure they can stand a chance. Sky herself probably signed contracts with "girl you WILL be doing these interviews")
