Serial Killer and Paradise on streaming services

so is serial killer slowed down? i mean should i keep the version we had or this one

This is what the song is supposed to sound like. A lot of uploads on YouTube seem to have a sped up version, so that might be what you’re used to.

I'm curious, how did you get them from Spotify? Not asking for any instructions but I thought they don't even support lossless yet, unless you have access to some kind of beta.

Awkward. Peter gives me the hibbie jibbies posting an old video of Lana singing Serial Killer 2 days ago tagging @ lanaderey and @ honeymoon with a wink emoji. He also commented on it 12 hours ago saying "only the beginning"... WHAT DOES IT MEAN.. LEAVE HER ALONE U FREAK
Heres the link to the post he left the comment on

Maybe he's being weird, or maybe.... Lana is finally about to release that unreleased album

Don’t make me get dark on you, baby

I’ll go dark…

PLEASE, that's how my boomer dad records YouTube public domain/old scifi movies :thumb3:

normally i do use the online website to mp3 stuff (if i can't pirate it from other places) but this was a spotify exclusive (at the time i recorded it cause i didn't know how long it would be until it got taken down) and there's pretty much no other way to get the audio file from there other than just taping it :bebe:

edit: i do not encourage this by the way please do not do this support your favorite artists :oprah3:

If you used Spotify as the source it's just a lossless recording of the 320kb/s file. I checked in spek and it looks cut off at 22kHz, the previous version of Serial Killer we had went up to 24kHz. Though I could be wrong, not super familiar with audio myself.

320 kb/s usually cuts off at 20 not 24

Basically that's the two versions we have now. First is the existing file we had, the other one the lossless recording from Spotify.

There are slight differences, the lossless one is cut at 22kHz, but otherwise it looks a bit "fuller". I don't know which one is better.

He was liking comments on his posts of people asking if there were other songs/demos from his sessions and whether or not he’d post them

i mean, besides the alt. lyrics from the cover arts, it would make sense that demos of serial killer & paradise would exist? as well as the “hello hollywood” song which elle had discovered… the fact that this could be material we never would’ve had otherwise :wowcry:

looking at it closely - a. the mp3 has a different frequency (48000 vs 44100) so that's probably why it goes up to 24 kHz

b. there's a noticeable decrease in sound around 18 kHz in the mp3 that isn't in the wav - i've noticed that in (usually upscaled) mp3s that sometimes peaks in sound can exceed the compression limit but you can still tell where a compression is

but it's definitely very close though - also i'm not an audio expert either i just like looking at speks (insert she's so crazy meme image here)

It would be interesting if someone could strip the buyer data and upload the .m4a purchased on iTunes, but until then I guess I'll keep using the lossless file you uploaded.
