I think cultural appropriation is an extreme western thing at this point - for us Asian people, this particular thing is appreciation, there's a difference between ur wearing something honoring them versus TAKING something to gain clout from it (Kim K trade-marking "kimono" and doing "box braids" for instance).

 

the thing is: Lana can wear these and she's still a white woman, it's different from u trying to change your race. And at the end of the day , everyone has their own opinion but what matters is what asian people in this case would think, not white people feel the right to "say" how we think. Same as poc (which im not black, so i cant say anything about their case)... For example: Katy Perry wore kimono and had a Japanese-themed live performance in an award show and Japanese people loved it, while western people called out her doing cultural appropriation.

 

and i guess for each race is a different issue: for example - the issue poc have is cultural appropriation, while the asians are being stereotyped as "looking the same" / chingchong / slanted eyes / etc.

Hell, yeah. I also tried it and the results were so creepy. When I asked to create a "Anthony Perkins" I got someone else or Perkins at age 60, when he played in Psycho IV, for "young Anthony Perkins" they made a 15 year old one, and when I asked for a 35 year old A.P. he was still  50 at least, lol. And all Normans had very strange hair.  I got some nice pictures still apart form his face, I might just try to copy a picture of him into the AI pic.

 

 

I also tried "in the film Marnie" for Lana, but the AI was totally lost with this movie.

I don't get what's so difficult in getting Lana, Elvis, Marilyn AND Jesus in one picture.  The AI always adds only 3 of them in total. And I absolutely don't get why the AI thinks Salvador Dalí painted "a starry night" by Van Gogh
