She's been quite transparent in a lot of interviews about how she now sort of avoids making more grand, polished and/or cinematic songs (and I assume it has something to do with the criticism she received early on, but that's anyone's guess) and instead opting for a more stripped back, understated, minimalist approach—and that's her prerogative. However, it's getting a little repetitive, it's like she's trying to recreate an NFR-esque soundscape at every turn.

To me, it seems like she recorded country songs here and there but nothing ever was as clear as making a country album. Like she could have pulled that final idea just before going on stage at that industry event

I wish she would release an EP like @The Stargirl Pinky said instead of forcing other songs just so she can put out a full album. If it’s been about 5 years now and she’s still having trouble,  I fear it’s just not going to happen. It sounded like she’s hit a wall in terms of Lasso but not necessarily her creative works in general
