There’s a new fire in the San Fernando Valley and the Palisades one is getting closer to Encino  I literally feel sick the population density in the Valley is a lot greater than the in the Palisades and Malibu many more homes can be lost because of this

i DEFINITELY spoke too soon.. i'm gonna wake up every few hours to make sure it doesn't get any closer otherwise i might have to evacuate i fear.. i'm not even in the voluntary evacuation zone yet but it looks rly scary from my backyard rn lmfao

I was listening to Violet on vinyl today and had this exact thought, all those places she wrote about and so many of them are gone. And yes, there are flames in the nfr background as far as I’m aware. Norman was so ahead of its time in all aspects truly!

And you’d be right! I had sport cruiser in mind when I made that comment. “the Ralphs in the palisades” was particularly sad to listen to after the events of this week. I should’ve specified given how she literally has a poem titled ‘The land of 1000 fires’ lol  
 

edit: now realizing you’re probably talking about the second half of my comment and not the first bit, yes it is the Woolsey fires! she was ahead of her time for discussing climate change in her work, that’s what I’m getting at xx
