CatchTheBreeze 1,682 Posted April 25, 2013 I do like Little Boots too! Her last single was fantastic, quite Saint Etienne-esque. Some artists/bands I like a lot: Mylène Farmer - she used to be my favourite female singer for about 20 years (until Lana came along ). Her early clips were epic, dark, mysterious pieces of art. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbXKOmnEKvQ For a bit of noise I fancy Danish duo The Raveonettes: http://vimeo.com/50751476

Madrigal 2,616 Posted April 28, 2013 Anyone else ever heard of Rudimental? I found out about them when Charli sampled on of their songs with MNEK, 'Spoons...' Now it seems that they're really picking up steam, and looks like their debut will be up soon! I think they're just a production duo, so every track has a featured vocalist. I just started to listen to their 'sampler,' and their song with Angel Haze is already blowing me away. http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home"> http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home" /> http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home/http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home">http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home by http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home">http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home
elllipsis 1,441 Posted July 17, 2013 Ok, let's see... Future Trends (synthpop, electronic) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vY7C6R7oCas The last minute of this song. Matthew E. White (rock, folk, jazz) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stKepsY9mnw Milo (hip-hop, rap, glitch, spoken word) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1eGB8WgF80 Night Beats (garage rock, psychedelic rock, surf rock) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM-e9yTrwFY Fucking adore them. That Ghost (alt. rock, lo-fi, shoegaze) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4AwhGdeWz8 This is one of the few albums I've ever found that has a somewhat similar vibe to 'Is This It'... Topaz Rags (psychedelic, experimental, new weird america - but nevermind the labels, this is the perfect description of their music) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH22qNlTNwI One of my fave music finds ever, but judging from my friends' reactions it's probably not for everyone.
