I'm so baffled by it too, after all this time. Those comments Lorde made about lana in the beginning of her career don't make quite sense if she's friends with Taylor. Taylor and Lana lowkey have the same type of aesthetic when it comes to writing, just different styles. Like Taylor has that desperate want for a guy too... for example the new soundtrack song where she won't stop calling his name until he comes back home.
