Not this person claiming that taylor is ripping off Lana. While I definitely do believe she took inspiration from Lana, it’s still her work that’s unique to her. Also this guy said Taylor is exploiting her employees… like girl she paid over $50 million dollars to her employees.

Ermmmm one of my longtime regulars has been working for her on the Eras Tour (the entirety of it… he’s seen it all) and I assure everyone, they are well taken care of.

i like the whole album, it just all sounds like the same over and over with very little changes. the cohesion in this is far too same-y. i can never tell when a song ends and a new one begins on the Anthology album

i just read a reddit comment that said this album has no memorable bridges 

 

sometimes i wonder if we're all listening to the same record because-

does this scream "unmemorable"? one of the best in her career, and there's literally so many more examples of this.

 

the only criticism that has resonated with me was a tweet that said "me listening to ttpd" and it was captioned with an image with lyrics from Chappell Roan's "Feminomenon"

which were "Dude, can you play a song with a fucking beat?" And it's not even really accurate but I thought it was funny as hell.

Well…UMG makes money off Taylor’s success and she owns her own music, so it was fully within her right.

 

The only thing was, I think UMG wanted her to hold rank so they could co-negotiate for more money for all the music UMG owns, but Taylor probably decided she was gonna do what’s best for her in this business.

For the people who are saying they dont really understand the Lana comparisons...

 

Let me just say this... I don't normally listen to Taylor so I really don't know her voice as well as others. I also dont know all of Lana's songs, mostly just the bigger ones.

When I listened to the leak, I thought I had downloaded a troll upload of some Lana songs renamed to the Taylor album tracks... I thought Lana was singing on at least Fortnight.

To me, some lines sounded like Taylor and others sounded like Lana singing. It wasn't until I actually heard the word "fortnight" in the song I realized it was a legit leak and not a Lana song.

 

Two people who are Lana fans that I know also without me mentioning, said it felt like she was "trying to do Lana". 

 

This could be Antonoff's fault partially, working with both artists, but the comparisons aren't coming out of nowhere...

It’s real. I remember hearing a snippet of it back in either 2020 or 2021

 

edit- also at the time of the leak (late February early March 2023) ai wasn’t as good as it is now.
