Hello Heaven 1,578 Posted September 9, 2012 I'm going to be honest here: I hate remixes. It's very rare for me to find a remix which I somewhat enjoy.
Summersault 824 Posted June 20, 2013 I know there's a thread already with a list of all the remixes but I don't think there's one for discussing our favourites. Finding a really good remix is almost like finding a brand new Lana song imo. Video Games, Balam Acab Remix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpq5eRBkC1k Fun fact: I asked Balam Acab why he used her live vocals for the track and expected some really deep answer about how she sounds more fragile and stuff, but turns out he only used them because it was the closest thing to an acapella track he could find at the time. Overthink much. Video Games, Joy Orbinson Remix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLeakz7eiug Took me a while to get into it but now it's a steady on my playlist. Really cool futuristic vibe. Ride, Active Child Remix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jf165Bwiqqc If the word swag wasn't so overúsed I would say that this track has it. Share your favourite :)
Quentin 552 Posted June 20, 2013 I don't listen that much to remixes, i hate when they speed up her voice or shit like that. There are not a lot of Lana's songs that are remixable imo. But here's my two favorites: Blue Jeans by Gesaffelstein: very dark (as always with him), love the beat Summertime Sadness by Ryan Hemsworth: Ryan's very talented producer, he made SS really haunting
Creyk 11,699 Posted June 20, 2013 I like that video games remix too! With mashups, I like this Cola/Umbrella one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMhV2hA42O0 And from the remixes, I have a lot. The subsist remix of MDM is crazy good even tho it's so short. Epic awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivOq8l-zIaA

COLACNT 5,178 Posted June 20, 2013 ride (frankie barretso remix) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E3NWdtwrgg young & beautiful (kulkid remix) elvis (sebastian boldt remix) -- this could have been amazing, but he only used half the song so it gets repetitive gods & monsters (butterflies remix) -- so dark so good video games (we don't belong in pacha remix) this gesaffelstein remix is like another song in itself - so- good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6kuBRHRjdc
VegasBaby 895 Posted June 20, 2013 I love this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QVC__Uvd8s&list=PLNTaq_cbvmnBZnkBwrhU2dDIjB7_iCNZ8 Summertime Sadness Reich & Bleich remix. & the Omid 16B remix for Video Games. I'm checking out loads of remixes now though, so many good ones.. 1 Quote Sweeping scents and blue hydrangea. Summer hail and summer stranger.
Summersault 824 Posted June 20, 2013 A lot of good new ones! I found this yesterday and I'm in love: Born to Die, Monsieur Adi remix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77O6cuIiG24 So chilled out and the new chords are amazing! (His summertime sadness remix on the other hand is quite..different. Let me just say that there are rapid handclaps. Someone might just start twerking to that sh*t.)
Creyk 11,699 Posted June 20, 2013 There is also the fasebwese remix of carmen, which uses little carmen so it's like a new song, since we only have that as an acapella. And it's freaking good, very dark.
