Hardware Software is very much the worst thing she’s ever made. It’s like some bad Dorian Electra (or whatever they’re called) knock-off. Even if was a good knockoff it would still be bad, so you know it’s absolutely terrible genuinely something that should have never left her hard drive, and I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Her team has been mass-striking random old songs and unreleased after the album leaked, so it doesn't mean anything. They also took down my upload of Allie's 10-year-old demo reel, which was publicly released mind you. Wasting their time considering they clearly have bigger fish to fry lolz

Honestly it’s cute for a vanity project. Songs like Sattelite and Set Yourself On Fire are still better to me! Although I wish she would explore the polished 80s pop sound more- I also enjoy the new wave stuff.

 

this record does not even come CLOSE to cape god or CLX2 though.

Hot take, I really don't like CLXII all that much. The Unsolved singles + Casanova were the strongest tracks, I've never liked any other track on the album, especially Downtown, Paper Love, and Lifted.

I agree, I rarely revist CLXII beside OHDH and some other unsolved tracks, the whole album feels a bit bland when compared with other records, CLXII also has the strongest outtakes that could've been released instead of some other tracks

A friend and I transcribed Weird World awhile back and they wrote down some of the German parts. They don't speak fluently though, and I don't know any German at all, so take with a grain of salt @111

I feel like CLXII is her only album without a clear sound or idea attached to it so it really just feels like a collection of finished songs and not a real album
