i'm... surprised?? i didn't like the songs she put out as singles at the time but listening to the album now they do fit in and the album is v cohesive... and those jazz influences ughh i'm loving it!!

Kali just did an IG Live & said she plans to do another video for Sin Miedo. She was thinking Te Pongo Mal but she asked the fans what they thought and the general consensus from the livestream was Telepatía or Que te Pedi. She also said that vinyls are coming soon! x

Kali just did another live and played us a remix of La Luz - it was fire!! She said there’s some issue with it that the label won’t let her drop it, she thinks she needs to remove the feature in order to be able to release it x

If the label won’t allow her to drop the track why can’t they let her know what the problem is?

Of course! She said she thinks it's because of the feature, but it sounds like she plans to solve the problem in order to release it. The remix was really great - the song was an overall faster pace and it was a "bop" as they say. I'm hoping someone will post a recording of the livestream where she played it, so if I find one I'll post it here!

Also, one more thing from her lives that I thought was interesting to add - she said that she started seeing a vocal coach "for the first time ever" in preparation for a tour she was planning for this year that she obviously had to scrap, but she said that during her trainings she was able to discover she can hit some whistle notes. She put some throughout the album, but I'm super excited to hear her continue to experiment with them. Kali doesn't do super high, whistley note often throughout her discography, but whenever she does, they're really beautiful. She has a super unique voice, and I think high notes suit her voice really well x

I love this record! Isolation and Por Vida are two of my favourite musical projects and this record just solidifies my status as a Kali fan <3 her vocals on Vaya Con Dios are heavenly and siren-like, and the instrumental really reminds me of Miami and a couple of unreleased Lana tracks from 2010 actually! 
 

I can also definitely hear the reggaeton influences throughout this record and I love that she incorporates them while retaining her signature sound! 10/10 from me
