She knows how to write a song, she's a good songwriter, she's a poet born in the wrong generation. I would liken her music to a portrait, pretty, as long as you only look at the subject, the background, the production however is bland and uninspiring, basically only there because the void would look worse. Charli on the other hand is deeply emotional and ensures all details can be enjoyed on their own, the lyrics, production, vocal effects, everything, it's a masterpiece. It makes her music too bombastic for some, but once you're no longer overwhelmed you can trully appreciate it all. Exposing the blandness of most other music, TS included.
