So are you going to interpret some tracks?

I've been thinking that MTWBT is reflecting on Lana's days as a nanny but I'm not 100% sure yet, maybe the MV will be the big dead giveaway to decipher the true meaning of the song.

has anyone noticed anymore lyric throwbacks to past songs?

 

"No one's out of time now, chips fall where they may" and "The power of youth is on my mind, sunset small town, I'm out of time"

 

"Sun reflecting in his eyes" from Freak and the same line from Bentley

 

"It never was about the money or the drugs" and "We were running for the money and the flesh" (even tho that was just a cover)

i think of Big Eyes when Swan Song was on. and some bond theme songs when i listened to 24 

but they're def the better and more epic ones.

like some movie soundtracks.

I've noticed that the best parts of almost every song on the album are the finals (don't know if this word it's correct). Like 24, for me it's a bit boring but, like the least one minute is a work of art, in my opinion.

Even Salvatore, the last chorus is the best part, same for Honeymoon

I was just thinking how imo the beginning of the songs are great, e.g. The Blackest Day and Swan Song start off really well but then start meandering

The Blackest Day sounds like something else I've heard before, especially the bridge and outro ???? It's so weird lol

 

overall I am slayed   it's a beautiful album. It seems very slow to me however, but I'm sure it'll grow on me. My 3 favourites atm are The Blackest Day, Freak and 24.

 

also- was it confirmed that its a gapless album? Because it sounds like it is at least.

After listening to it, I'm pretty sure the interlude separates the gapless first half and the second half has gaps. I'm not sure how I should word this, it sounds really odd.

Weird...the booklet for the CD is different than the one that's been floating around online. Some of the pictures are different. Most notably the picture of Lana with her compact looking into the camera while she applies her makeup is missing. It's killing me because I LOVE that picture

Swan Song is godly. It's my favourite song, I think. The whole album is more Ultraviolence-esque and less Born To Die-esque, but it's a mix between the two.
