Her three albums (& soundtracks) are now on the streaming world so no excuses to not know her music! Ive been watching closely the roll out of all Background Records albums (JoJo, Timbaland, Tank, etc) and they have done a great job. Im still side eyeing her uncle but her mom+brother/estate was just hurting her legacy further by being petty with her uncle by not reaching a deal to put out her music for streaming and re-manufacture [CD & vinyl] her music

it's so complicated I just prefer not to form an opinion / think of it as none of my business... I already had her discography prior to it being made available to stream anyway so that helped w beiing impartial

It was put out a year after the single, I’m not exactly sure how it was distributed, bcz I don’t think it was cut to disc, maybe airplay, the single version had the second verse (before chorus one) cut out, which this version includes as well as alt vocals 

 

This will always be my go to version though. It’s perfect

probably label troubles / her uncle being difficult - the fact that literally anything was reissued is a miracle in itself

WHAT?!? Was this from Blackgrounds site? Because I know my indie store got theirs eons ago, and UO + VMP have their own pressings?

Thats why i ended up getting the VMP one. The other kept getting pushed back endlessly. Glad you finally got it.

Yes it was from BlackGround. Absolutely appalling. I haven’t even heard from them in countless months about the status of my order. But I’m happy I finally have them.
