Okay okay here's where I may lose some of you because I did some lateral moving between playlists after, for instance, Volume 3 got too full. So...

 

 

 

^ Note the addition of Hollywood and the movement of OOW and NLMG, which were always sort of too happy for the next playlist anyway. They are oddly downtempo in the playlist, but leading toward the end it kind of works.

 

 

^ A lot of movement for flow's sake but it now sounds very good.

 

 

 

^ Sorry to say I'm very excited for another year when a few more produced Lizzy tracks leak so I can boot the LQ demos from volume 1 and include them in this. It's a good backup to have.

 

 

And I didn't want to get attached to having either of the new album tracks in a compilation so I have them as a single A-side and B-side.

This volume basically talks about Lana not wanting to live the lifestyle her and her lover live anymore, so she decides to leave him. Just after they made-up he dies causing Lana to become depressive, which leads us into the story of the next volume.

The song "Paradise" is proven to be a little older, pre-BTD at least. Despite the shared titles.

 

Well lest I incur any wrath for my word choice, I don't really know, but they're from 2012 and were posted alongside songs like Cola and Body Electric.

An optimist! "Because of You" might have been intended for the tracklist or not, but it exists and it was speculated early on before anything was registered and then also registered with several other Paradise songs. You know, she said she'd written a song for every month of the year on Paradise (well presumably the first nine months, at least), so there's a chance some of these were never even considered. However, titles like "Cola" and "American" took everyone by surprise because most people were expecting the tracklist to have Because of You, JFK, and Burning Desire--trifecta of rumored titles.

 

Anyway I tweaked the playlist to suit the order of songs on Tropico. Not sure how I feel about it yet but I'll always report back

I'm pretty bad at these I also took out Yayo & Burning Desire because I don't think they fit in once you add the outtakes. I think Yayo was thematically different from Paradise period, but oh well Here's mine:

I also wish we had some demos of songs from Paradise - always curious as to why we don't have any, and why it seems like there almost aren't any (besides the Cola-laptop-demo thing).

A new fave playlist~

 

 

Catch and Release moving to the Lizzy Grant section was the final straw. I really like it It's even better for having included the laptop demo of QOTGS.

 

However the tracklist on volume 1 is all fucked:

 

 

I hope more sad, fully produced Lizzy songs like Hawaiian Tropic surface to give it some flow.
