latothemoon 11,846 Posted January 2, 2018 I'm sure most of us have heard them before and I've seen some other Fleetwood Mac fans here. Surprised there wasn't a thread so here it is! Fleetwood Mac is a legendary British-American rock band who rose to prominence in the 1970s. They have an incredibly diverse sound, blending elements of soft rock, folk, pop, and blues rock. Since the 1960s they have released over 15 album and the lineup has often changed, with the most prime (and current) lineup being made up of Lindsey Buckingham (lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist), Stevie Nicks (lead vocalist and songwriter who is also known for her successful solo career), Christine McVie (lead vocalist, songwriter, and keyboardist), Mick Fleetwood (drummer), and John McVie (bassist). Although Lindsey, Stevie, and Christine each took years off from the band, it's incredible that they are still together, active and performing to this day, with a new tour in the works for this year. APRIL 2018 UPDATE: Longtime member Lindsey Buckingham has been fired from the group due to disagreements about their upcoming tour. The group has had turbulent relationships throughout their career but Lindsey was arguably the most important member, writing, singing, and producing a huge portion of their biggest albums, so this is shocking. Neil Finn of Crowded House and Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers have now joined to replace him. Albums with classic lineup Videos from each main lead singer "Gypsy" (Stevie lead vocals) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glStPHUErJU "Big Love" (Lindsey lead vocals) "Little Lies" (Christine lead vocals)

TheBoss 13,513 Posted January 2, 2018 Thank you so much for making this I'm absolutely obssesed, I started listening to them like 2 weeks ago and the music is incredible, plus the story of the band is completely fascinating! For now I've just heard Rumours in full and it became one of my favorite albums on the 1st listen, it's competing with Homogenic right now (and that's saying a lot). I've heard some singles out of Fleetwood Mac (Album) and Tango in the Night, and I just can't get enough of Rihannon ("Rumours" Super Deluxe Live Version) and Big Love ("The Dance" Live Version). I just can't wait to keep discovering more and more about them. Also Go Your Own Way and Silver Spring being the A/B-side of the single is just pure perfection and feeling. PS: Stevie is incredible and super talented, but I think that Christine is so underrated, she's such an incredible songwriter/singer, I love her.

latothemoon 11,846 Posted January 3, 2018 Now that it's 2018 it means that they're touring worldwide this year! Christine said they're gonna start rehearsing in March and tour starts June. If they come here it will be crazy expensive but I can't miss that for my life Also the deluxe reissue and remastered version of their 1975 self-titled album is out on the 19th, featuring lots of B-sides, live versions, demos etc.
Cloudbusting 5,382 Posted January 4, 2018 Wow there wasn’t a thread for this? Rhiannon is my favorite song by them, I love the melodies. Btw listen to the remastered version, it’s better than the original imo. It has great guitars. Silver Springs is also one of my favorites, it’s a pretty sad song but the second half of the song is incredible. I think Dreams peaked on #1 when it was released and omg it deserved it so much. The lyrics are perfect, the instrumentation is perfect, the chorus is perfect. I hoped BPBP was like a mix of this and Brooklyn Baby but I liked what we got anyways. The Chain is a great bop. Glad it got exposure with the Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

HunterSThompson 4,646 Posted January 8, 2018 Thanks for making this thread! We play Fleetwood Mac all the time at my house. I've only been into them for like 2 years now so I'm still relatively new to them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeW0KzCxywI This (the video above) cover was the first time I really fell in love with Fleetwood Mac... after I heard Florence's AMAZING cover of Silver Springs I checked them out and fell in love.
