Maybe the people saying they/them just aren’t sure? It’s better than calling her he/him at least. But they should for sure be made aware of her pronouns. anyway I’m really happy to hear that her brother is considering a release of the album they’d almost finished together... it breaks my heart she isn’t here to release it on her own terms with videos and all that.

Real or not, that first version of HBHG we got a few months ago always sounded kind of.. flat. I never really got into the song until miss 1000 Times leaked the final the other day. Now I’m lowkey obsessed with it.. the new little production quirks are so goood & it just sounds amazing. Thanks again legend!!!

Lead single - Come to my Party This is a no-brainer.. it just makes perfect sense & the song is a pop masterpiece and also very on brand for Charli as an artist. It could’ve had a cute feature maybe and also an amazing music video to actually start the era off right. 2nd single - Can You Hear Me? Boom Clap’s hotter older sister. I think the GP would have really liked this song and it could’ve given Charli more staying power with them since the beat is reminiscent of Boom Clap which is like the only song the GP recognizes her by. This could have kept the GP’s interest in her while promo for the album continued and led to the next single... 3rd single / album release single - GNO This song really captures the vibe of the whole album. It’s very radio friendly, I’ve heard it play in malls a lot of times when it was released. I don’t know why her label was so dumb not to make this one a single over ATAP or Boys. The 4th single could honestly be a few different songs. Good Girls, Waterfall, or Die 4 all had potential to be a single in the middle of the album campaign. & the final single to close out the era would fittingly be ATAP... Don’t know why I cared to think about that little album campaign fantasy, but I love XCXWORLD so much & it was fun thinking about the era we could have gotten but didn’t.

Delicious is honestly iconic & one of her best unreleased ok yes maybe I’m lying but it’s so much better than everyone gives it credit for.. it’s hilarious & iconic & honestly not THAT bad of a song

I cackled I personally put WGFU in my little pop 2 outtakes album, but it does fit the theme of XCXWORLD... if she was a slightly more vulgar girl. There’s something very wholesome about the album if that makes sense. I’m not saying it would’ve topped the charts & I know that the singles were flopping, but had they chosen the right singles I really think it could’ve at least matched Sucker’s “success” or even done a little better...

Where would you put HBHG in the XCXWORLD tracklist?

Charli making her way into the BB prerelease thread... further proof she’s iconic. Their music is completely different but they are very similar artists IMO... so prolific & constantly writing + recording because of their passion for music. My 2 faves forever. Between Charli & Lana I’m never waiting too long for new music and it’s such a blessing.

There’s nothing wrong with being disappointed with her lack of communication to her fanbase - even though she owes us nothing - but to claim she’s emotionally abusing her fans is ridiculous... The disappointment isn’t even warranted though because we got 3 new songs the other week & an updated release date for the album on July 4th. If you’re upset nothing came yesterday, that’s on you.

Some of you need real life hobbies that don’t include holding onto Lana’s every word. Like I love this forum & it’s definitely fun to speculate and discuss the music / release dates and strategies (or lack thereof) .... but if you’re claiming emotional abuse over something as insignificant as a song release date not being met, you need psychological help.

from what I remember back then, that was the most anticipated song on the forum once the snippets came out. it got a mixed reception upon release, but I’ve always thought it was such a great song.. wish we got more dark sounding songs like that these days. definitely some of her best lyrics in there.

Forever heartbroken that Hundred Dollar Bill & Television Heaven didn’t make the cut for BTD... we lost. Does anyone else remember late 2011 on Lana’s Facebook page, when she posted a draft tracklist that had HDB on it & Dark Paradise as a bonus track?? Or was that a fever dream I had.
