  1. Have you tried emailing her management?
  2. Hm seemingly the album title "Norman Fucking Rockwell" had been approved by the label a while ago considering it was mentioned in a press release from Universal for Hope http://www.umusic.ca/press-releases/84263/ And I'm pretty sure any problems with marketing a physical release could be solved quite easily by censoring the title. I personally think that the delays around this album stem from Lana herself

  7. can someone DM me a link mod note: user was warned for this post
  8. y'all need to realise Lana literally does not give a fuck anymore. Like she doesn't care if she loses fans because she knows that lanky twink and his possy of rats will still be front row of every show she ever does for the rest of her fucking life. She doesn't care about promo or a proper album rollout because she doesn't care if the album succeeds or not. She's been there, done that, got the t shirt and hated the experience. She'll be financially stable for the rest of her life and just has the freedom to do absolutely nothing. It's clear that music isn't her passion anymore and all she wants to do now is write poetry and suffer a mid life crisis. Maybe it would be better for her to publicly retire instead of half-assing everything she does now- at least then the legacy and artistic image she spent years crafting wouldn't be completely tarnished.
  9. If you forget NFR was ever announced and pretend it doesn't exist it makes it easier. I can't wait for Lana's follow up to LFL! I wonder if she's written/recorded any songs for it yet. And I wonder what it's going to be called
  10. LIB was written for brokeback mountain. mod note: user was warned for this post

    Fine China

Fine China is such a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics about a failed engagement to be wed. This is how I interpret the lyrics of the song and how I believe it related to Lana’s life at the time of its’ recording. I think the most revealing part of the whole song are the opening lines: “I wore diamonds for the birth of your baby, for the birth of your son On the same day my husband to be packed his things to run.” I believe the first line is a reference to Lana being present for the birth of Jaime King’s son James on the 6th of October 2013. Here you can see a picture of Lana with Jaime and her new-born baby in the hospital, wearing a diamond necklace https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/lanadelrey/images/5/57/Newmanbaby.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150716232607 Jaime has said publicly that Lana stayed with her during her entire labour which was over 26 hours long! Additionally, I believe the second line is about Lana’s engagement to her former fiancé Barrie James O’Neill. The two were rumoured to get engaged on July 21st 2013 after Barrie proposed on Lana’s birthday. You can read a Daily Mail article discussing the engagement rumours here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2549794/Lana-Del-Rey-boyfriend-Barrie-James-ONeill-secretly-engaged-June.html From the lyrics of the song we can assume that while Lana was with Jaime at the hospital, Barrie packed up his things and left Lana (I think this means he packed his stuff up and moved out of the house he was sharing with Lana at the time after a fight). Lana and Barrie were not seen publicly together again until a month later on November 1st 2013 at a Nylon magazine event. So, it seems any fight they had was resolved by this point. Fine China was recorded in December 2013 with Rick Nowels in the same sessions as Your Girl, Yes to Heaven, Is this happiness, Sad Girl, Shades of Cool and I Can Fly. Considering how Lana has stated multiple times that her lyrics are deeply autobiographical, it is my interpretation that Lana was writing from the viewpoint of the experience she had in October of that year, when she thought her engagement to Barrie was over and the dreams she had of her wedding were crushed.
  13. it's kinda funny how the dynamic of this site has changed over the years. It used to be everyone singing Lana's praises during the UV and Honeymoon era, even Lust for Life got a good reaction from fans... but this shambles of an era has totally enraged the fanbase lol.
  14. im sorry but i dont give a FUCK about this poetry book lmao wheres the album at sis
  15. I feel like I stan a version of Lana Del Rey that doesn't exist anymore tbh
  16. the label probably isn't satisfied with any of the previous singles and so has decided to call the previous 3 "fan tracks" and is asking Lana to make a radio friendly-ish single they can put out before they release the album.
  17. that rly doesn't sound like Lana to me
  18. the tea is she KNOWS she can put in no effort whatsoever into an era and we'd still buy it/stream it/make it a success.
  19. i thought we couldn't get a lazier era than Honeymoon but BOY WAS I WRONG
  20. I have absolutely no idea how to post a gif on lanaboards so nevermind
  21. I don't think Lana could do ANYTHING to make me revoke my stan card. She could release an album of ambient rainforest sounds and I'd still stan because of the masterpiece that is Born to Die. Periodt.
