Okay so I was never the biggest Evanescence fan, I liked a few songs, but honestly I just didn't care enough to dig deeper, but I saw Synthesis in a store today and decided to give it a listen when I got home and wow, I am LIVING FOR THIS! Her voice and the orchestral arrangements go sooo well together!

Wow, who would have thought that I'd ever completely agree with you. Her storytelling in the songs you mentioned is just amazing. I would even say that OTTR is her best, but you already know that.

Aw thank you! When I saw it, I was like, "Okay, I'll never meet Gwen, so a signed vinyl is as good as it gets. If the other No Doubt members sign it too, well great!" Hahaha. And only afterwards, I realized just how strictly limited it was, and a moment later it was sold out. BTW, I like Gwen's solo music more than the No Doubt stuff too. I mean, the No Doubt albums are amazing, but her solo songs (especially the ones on TIWTTFL) are much more relatable for me. Um... It's amazing, I really wasn't expecting that! Especially the first half is just fantastic! The only songs I tend to skip are White Christmas and the title track (I don't like Blake).

I wouldn't say it sucks, it's just rather forgettable. GBA and TNC, these two really do suck.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting Lana to win, but I certainly wasn't expecting 30STM to win either. Sure, their fandom is kind of like a cult, but I didn't think they're the kind of fans that sit in front of a computer and vote for their favourite band a thousand times. It would be interesting to know how close it was.
