I think we all agree she worked hard enough after her hype disaster that she can not be dismissed from pop music. I would say that some of the nasty reviews qualify as poor quality reviews (more about extra-musical issues than the music). Her response of letting the fans/marketplace defend her and not getting in the fray was the most appropriate. I don't think critics went as far as character assasination, but I do think personal attack is an appropriate description (I think she used those words in the recent German interviews, there are now two). Other than illuminati influence on the critics (LOL), I can't explain such reviews.
 
Some other thoughts:
 
The group of anti-fans is shrinking in number. The Paradise EP did not get dissed much. Both CDs are, in fact, charting right now.
 
Touring is a complicated. At least in Europe she's touring with her boyfriend and travelling to exotic places. I don't think her not wanting to tour the US is a reaction to bad press. More like limiting an activity that is taxing. Also she did perform in the US before her "World" tour; she just didn't do it everywhere. Praise be to Youtube (and the fans that uploaded) for letting me experience some of it.
 
Major pop artists seem to like/respect/recommend/tolerate her. They are on her side, not the critics.
 
SNL performances were controversial and not bad. Saying they were bad, like it's a fact, isn't objectively true because at least as many people liked as disliked them. I for one went back to the SNL Blue Jeans (LanaDelReyVevo?) many times because I enjoyed it. Some critics even recognize this. 
 
A possible overreaction on her part, maybe, was changing her mind about re-releasing "... aka Lizzy Grant". If critical reaction did play a role, that would be a major bummer to me. I wish she would re-release that, and release May Jailer, and also put a dent in her unreleased/leaked catalog. It's the surest way to flip the bird at reviewers, who would get brain hemorrhages trying to figure out how to review them.

Actually, i think you should turn this one into a song, "Friend or Foe/Watch Out Lana" by Love <3 Lana <3 Like <3 Life. Maybe it can tap into the Noir rage a little.

That's awful. I can't stand watching these autograph hunters. They don't even try to act like fans, to make themselves seem like they're not scumbags. 

I do think it is a bit mean to name and shame this ebay seller he is all just trying to live... It may be his job.  Maybe Lana dosen't mind that much.
 
But that guy who said Lana is a bitch, that is just horrible thing to say about Lana, she is so lovely with signing and everything..

I think Lana's too polite to ignore people wanting signatures even if she knows they're just going to sell the shit on eBay or wherever. It kind of sickens me that she's so nice to these people who waste her time pretending to be interested fans or even worse, they don't even talk to her and just shove the merchandise in her face.

The ticket demand exceeded the promotor's expectation and therefore the show was moved to a larger venue. Berlin is a market for concerts which usually never does too well because Berlin has literally seen it all.

My Gaga dislikeness has grown a lot since her interview to Fantastico and her concerts in Brazil. Fantastico is a variety show/news that airs on sunday in the major Brazilian Tv network, Rede Globo. Party 1 was the part that aired and since is a very popular show that aires sunday has a voiceover. Usually interviews her are subtitled like part 2. Her attitude is sooo obnoxious in the interview.

Part 1: What annoys me the most is not what she says is her attitude. The interviewer asks her in what aspects this tour is different from the preview one and someone from her crew says that his not aloud to talk about that. For real?? She also stops the interview several times to put take off her sunglasses. She asks the camera to move backwards she didn't want the camera so close. And she asked to install a small tv so she could see herself (the interviewer says that in the voiceover) and she looks all the time to the little tv to see her image (he also says that). They did the interview before she came to Brazil.

Well, this has nothing to do with Lana, it's those people wanting to sell autographs and therefore taking time she could actually spent with her fans.

I think this is related to this, idk but do you guys remember hearing about how crazy paparazzi got after one of Lana's shows and she got really upset and had to be rushed out?? Here is a video taken by a fan..shows how crazy paparazzi will get for their shot. (If you look closely, you can see her hair and the glimmer of her hair band, she's surrounded by guards) I mean they are on these fan's car.. so crazy.. and then the fighting right after.. can't really blame Lana's manager for wanting to get her out of there quickly. Kinda wonder if they're going to even allow her to come out after shows this time around

I like Love Lana Like Life's initiative but I don't really think that that's too late after one year now. Okay it's not anymore so current but Lana talked much more later in interviews about this "hate" from the us.

Just a random thought: am I the only one who's totally annoyed by those fuckers with their baseball caps and thousands of photos of the celeb to sign, only to sell them on eBay eventually? I'm so pissed off by these people, seriously. 

I'm so excited for her to come to London in May. Everytime I see a picture of a fan with Lana I get butterflies. Erugh I'm so scared I won't get to see her though

It's always good to be prepared I agree!
But yeah I agree, in the moment things get totally different and even if you're prepared it doesn't always work out perfectly (my experience with my favorite singer, Lights)

I just screamed 2 times when her car arrived, i was so shocked. but only two short "AHHHHHH"s, like 2 seconds or smth like that. and she was still sitting in the car. so it soesn't matter

Why do people always have to scream like a bunch of complete idiots whenever a celebrity arrives? It's just stressful for everybody else and the artist, plus it makes it all more hectic and everybody's chance to get a photo and an autograph goes down the drain.

Nice fandom, but this would have made a bit more sense a year ago, not so much now.

Lana definitely doesn't receive as much criticism as she use to. Last January there were tons of articles accusing her of being manufactured. I think a lot of that has stopped, and a lot of people who thought of her as fake in the beginning, have changed their opinions. I know my friends (most) hate Lana. And most have only heard one song by her and barely know anything about her.
