Kinda Amanda Palmer. I mean, I'm rather ok with her music but don't understand why some find her so phenomenal.

Inseparables (version anglaise) - Mylène Farmer Her Bleu Noir album has totally grown up on me, with the exceptions of "Oui... mais non" (damn, what a crap) and "Lonely Lisa". It's so Mylène (=feelings, melancholy, excellent lyrics and music). To be honest, prefer it than her "Monkey Me" album. Not that I have anything against optimistic stuff, I don't, and some "dark" music is overrated. Just saying I adore Mylène's art ^^ .

I do, most of them being Mylène vinyls. DYO any album signed by its musician?

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
Jazzmin replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
Ditto. For me it's quite understandable - in the previous interview she recklessly mentioned her tutor's name and then she realized it was not the wisest thing to do. Besides the controversy of publishing any personal information itself, it'd be embarrassing for her if people knew for sure she had unappropriate relationship with him/fantasized about him. (Mind you she was a teenager then, it makes things diametrically different from the situations she's had with older men when she was an adult.) Thus, she was bound to try to retouch it, although unable to see that attracts attention even more. But hey, on the other hand not every Lana fan stalks her is very interested in the meaning of her lyrics so most of them will not have read carefully all the Lana interviews. This is what I wanted to post xD . Oh, ok, not exactly: I wanted to write about The Trial where the main character's last name is "K.". I haven't read The Castle but now I'm adding it to my to-be-read list. Anyway, that makes the K. mystery even more fascinating, although I don't know if Lana's read Kafka novels. When it comes to Mr. Campbell, I doubt "Put Me In A Movie" is about him. My interpretation is: Doesn't fit in Lana story at all since if she has been into Mr. Campbell it was because of sexual attraction/emotional infatuation (the way Lo felt with Quilty!). Neither is "Lucky Ones". She sings: If she says it "feels like" it means "it is not but it is similar". It refers to her experience, so she must have had at least some experience by then. Compare it with "Puppy Love" where she's like: So she highlights how mature the relationship seems to her what is, in fact, kinda childish but that's the way a school girl can feel. Especially if she feels she isn't like other girls 'cause she's romancing with her teacher. If it were really mature, she wouldn't need to remind it all the time. -
OMG, it's hard to quote only few lyrics! Really, every single lyric of Emilie Autumn poem "Everybody's Girl" sounds SO FUCKING ME. I'm just being melancholic. Before a thousand grasping hands In a glaring light she stands Trying hard to meet demands Everybody's girl Defenseless more and more each time Desecration is their crime Vandalizing every rhyme Everybody's pet Becoming someone else outside Hoping to protect and hide What they smile at, then deride Everybody's fool Awaiting still some unknown sign When she'll use her chance to shine How should she her life define? No one's woman yet.
