  1. I think the closing track is going to sample Video Games I predict that the song starts with the piano intro of Video Games to knock us down with emotional nostalgia before spinning off into something completely wild
  2. Thank you!! It's okay I feel close to Lana each year with the feeling of undeserved rejection from my peers
  3. Maybe the sample is the outro from The Greatest, it seems like she's sampling a bunch of different piano
  4. I don't think I've been as excited for any release ever as I am for this album (except maybe Twin Peaks season 3)
  5. I personally don't find The Trip that random. Sonically when compared to the album maybe but it worked well as a mic drop after Arcadia and also as a demanding of attention for Black Bathing Suit, the two songs that really explore her hurt feelings from the public. I think she really wanted those messages to be heard and The Trio heightens both songs in a way. I'm hoping the pastor interlude does something similar and its placement makes sense.
  6. I'm also relieved that the music sets an unsettling eerie tone for the sermon, this sounds much more promising than a cheesy inspirational moment.
  7. I think American Whore is about the way in which she's been perceived for doing things untraditionally and being branded a whore by the public. The pastor interlude will talk about how it's only God's place to judge, and then Lana will later on the album find herself at peace with the way that she lives her life and take comfort in knowing that God will accept her for exactly how she is. I wonder if the interlude is just the pastor talking the whole time. I would love if Lana intercuts her own thoughts and has a bit of a dialogue with what he's saying.
  8. The fact that it's a pastor's screaming brain-frying moment right before American Whore is intriguing Edit: wait it's right after
  9. We literally haven't heard it yet so how would we know if we need it or not If it's on an album which is expected to be very cohesive and one of her best, I'm sure it will have its place, even if it's not a standout.
  10. Yikes this thread went from being so iconic to truly embarrassing so quickly
  11. It's true but in some ways the best track coming first is a blessing cus we need the time to properly absorb it on it's own, especially if it's something so long and intricate. Like I spent that entire year getting a whole album's worth of amazement from Venice Bitch alone, so I'm glad we got it so early.

    Miley Cyrus

I really don't get why she's releasing the same day as Lana, let Lana have her moment to shine...
