She was saying it needed to happen so that we could reflect on what was happening in America. Still isn't much better in context as you simply can't use this without sounding utterly privileged and ignorant. "Oh I'm sorry your family member literally died because of Trumps presidency but it needed to happen... to make the world a better place" -

I appreciate what she said about Narcissism and Psychopathy being the biggest problem in the world, but I wish she worded it as "it's also the root of the Climate Change and Capitalism issue" instead of sounding like she's dismissing those huge problems. Everything was so poorly worded. She used to be really good with words wtf. All of this!!!! -

It's pretty clear to me that she actually has no idea how to take criticism, and I mean, that's a fault most of us would have, but how does she not understand that we aren't criticising her for making music and releasing an album, we are criticising the mess that she makes of it all???? And just as I thought, her friends are not helping her learn or improve her approach with being an ally to POC by telling her "we don't care bby grl, you're doing the right thing xo" lol- 351 replies

I don't think it's how she's currently feeling, but to me it's almost half a warning statement "stop treating me bad, I'm still the same artist who changed the scene and im still sensitive" and half "my art is good and if you don't get fuck you". Remember QFTC part 1 when she posted the Gods & Monsters pole dancing gif or whatever? That was another "fuck you if you don't get it" Not saying it's a mature or professional move but I think she does that when she wants to remind us of something lol

So happy to hear this! -
Totally! Her art just keeps getting better and better. She's still pretty experimental but not in a rough way, it's very refined. But she's also more out of her mind than ever -_- lmaooo it's worrying, but keep the music coming please luv

Ah this is my first time listening! I can't believe the level of artistry

Delicate Weapon is my favourite song rn! On the MA Rave Edition, I'm not a fan of the remixes that barely include any vocals to the point where they're just "inspired" by the original song, with like one repeated/distorted lyric and the rest just a heavy beat. I'm like this with all those types of remixes, and that seems to be most of this album. I'd still rave to it all at a club tho, I must admit. I like the REZZ Violence remix and I think the W.A.P. (that acronym has been stolen from us tho... :S) bloodpop remix is a good closer though.

I like her music better now, honestly it's some of the best out there rn. But otherwise totally agree.

A hard pass. I really wouldn't wish for any collabs, period. Unless it was just a new producer to give a new sound
-
It's definitely just the song it was so unnecessary and had nothing to add to her discography besides having one song with a featured artist.
-
Same, I could come up with so many different words for it but I really need to see it all together in the COCC video!
-
It looks good, I'm all here for the roses comeback. Never forgive, always forget tho? Is that supposed to be deep lol

Riverside (Barrie James O'Neill ft. Lana)
Ultra Violet replied to ILostMyself's topic in Non-Album Content
This song captures both spiritual ascension and all the heartbreak in the world. -
True I did not consider that she's been stuck in this era for over 4 years! I just found it kinda funny in that way, like dissing the fact that she's expected to drag this era out for fans
-
Now that I think of it, I think everyone got the strong sound and aesthetics of BTD confused with being a concept album/storyline. Half the album fits into a fictional storyline full of unpredictable turns and death at any corner (OTTR, National Anthem, Diet Mountain Dew, Dark Paradise, Carmen, Million Dollar Man) but the other half is slipped in as Lana's actual story, not really a concept (BTD, Blue Jeans, Video Games, Radio, Summertime Sadness, TIWMUG). It's just the big production that makes it all fit together.
-
Random, but the "Can't Wait Till I'm Out Of K-12" title, I originally took that as Melanie implying that she's sick of the K-12 era and just wants to move on, kinda like we all do. I never thought it was a good title for the show/streams.

The glittery deck of cards in photo 5! Imagine if it is for the Dark But Just a Game video. The aesthetic

How do you think COCC is going to be received by everyone?
Ultra Violet replied to neonchemtrails's topic in Lana Thoughts
I have hopes that it will outsell NFR, and even bring back a lot of fans to agree with each other about her newer music but who knows honestly. All I know is I'm impressed at this point and I think it will be different, but all completely in a good way. I also hope her message becomes more clear through this album, so we can stop getting so confused and fighting about what she meant on Instagram and all that. She has to put the work in and it seems like she's done that with the album so far.
