I thought that too at first, like I'm not sure why the hell there needs to be Chinatown designs. But I got it regardless because the design on the back is beautiful and my half Chinese ass would regret it if I missed the chance. I'm more confused at the cigarette ash tray? Why's that one only in Chinatown design? Is she saying all Chinese people smoke? (I mean like, there's some truth there) why is she even selling that. A lighter is one thing. An ash tray is like??? -

Thank God I saw this in time. I would have died if I missed the chance to get the China Town shirt Was going to get the pink but decided on the ringer -
Omg this. I think the only time it's done artistically is in Strawberry Shortcake cause "damn it if you fuck me" made me think of sex but then "over i will rip your fucking face apart" I was like ooohhj When I realized Recess went down the same road I was like ugh enough! And pretty much countless other times

So I think the album sounds more mature in production. But the choruses don't- most are repetitive, some relying on vocal distortion to sound more interesting. Crybabys choruses were amazing in catchiness and lyrical content so I'm not sure what happened here. It's like she had such a strong vision in mind with K-12 and the movie that she was afraid to tease out the choruses more? I guess we'll see once it all matches up with movie clips. The album themes do get a bit darker as she described, but not by much. Orange Juice is the one that comes to mind. But I think crybaby touched on a lot of dark topics in several songs, and a broader range. I also remember her saying she was experimenting with vintage toy sounds. Besides wheels on the bus, where are these? I didn't hear them. But I'm still so excited for the movie and I have no doubt that my best friend coming to see it with me, who is not yet a fan of Mel, is going to fall hard and absolutely love it. I already converted her to be a Lana stan after thinking all her songs sound the same

You had me until a whole new world? If anything I think she'd cover Alice in Wonderland's In A World of My Own. Love the rest tho. Definitely something I could have seen being her second album if not k-12 Also, what would be the sampled part from Belle you imagined?

Cinnamon on repeat in my ears Wait did we ever figure out what the unknown snippet in chucks story was? -
Yas thanks for the info I also thought it would be about G-eazy but I sent it cause iwant that loser to stop being an inspiration to her cause he doesn't deserve the recognition.

Only if she's gonna keep half-ass singing them. So that's a yeah
-
The images of the people in her sunglasses getting married is low-key my favourite thing in any of her videos. I just wish it were better quality cause that would otherwise really stand out imo

What are the choruses and verses of Happiness is a butterfly. I can't distinguish. That songs makes me anxious.
-
Well I've deleted the songs from my phone. I listened to it all like 3-4 times over and already decided they're good, maybe not worth the 4 year wait though., But I don't want to ruin it any more than I have. Honestly I'm sick of myself searching for leaks all the time
-
Also I think Strawberry Shortcake, Lunchbox Friends and OJ have great single potential. But that's three songs in a row from the album...
-
I'm glad to be able to listen to the songs before the movie. I wouldn't be able to take it or look forward to my favourite ones

Another of mine. "Which Lana persona are you" There's probably be two more that I could add now if I wanted https://www.playbuzz.com/violetwitch10/which-lana-del-rey-persona-are-you

Maybe a month or two ago. Can't remember what it was exactly but they aren't a rare occurrence in my life luckily. Last time you listened to your least favourite Lana song?
-
Speaking strictly for which song was the best for opening the album, not which is the best song: Born to Die Ride Cruel World/Honeymoon Norman Fucking Rockwell Love Kill Kill But for the best songs: Ride>CruelWorld>Born To Die>Honeymoon>KillKill>NFR>Love

I have a feeling I'm not going to be a big fan of the movies storyline but nonetheless I will rewatch it 1000 times because the aesthetic and soundtrack score will be that good.
