Idk why but VB never feels like it's over 6 minutes to me. Cruel World feels longer (even tho it's my favourite) and I've always enjoyed VB as a long song with beautiful vibes that aren't too repetitive, like there's always more to look forward to in the song. I have not grown into the outro of The Greatest tho. Whenever I read someone talking about how it's amazing I'm like "oh, um, that's nice I guess". But it's boring to me and I'd love it if there were at least more background vocals in that part, like the outro of Prisoner with The Weekend.

That is incredibly fucked up. Wow whoever put that there. Reminds me of when I was watching the news and a story about women being sexually assaulted in Australian liberal parliament came on, they fucking played video games (instrumental) in the background as the girls were talking about how they were attacked. Idk if someone just thought it was good emotional music and didn't know the full song or they or put there there as they actually thought it was a good fit but it made me sick. Wow I would not put it past her. Taylor is obsessed with Lana's music. sorry if this was discussed in depth back in 2014-15 but is FMWUTTT about anyone in particular? Who was impersonating her at the time? I don't think Taylor had done it yet, and Halsey was like completely unknown then or only had her song Ghost which is nothing like Lana.

I see your point for sure and that would have been great to hype people who don't follow this news so closely, but in another way, MAC and VB came out a year ago and people lose interest. I'd rather people forget about those songs instead of Cinnamon girl. And for us, it leaves the best song for 'last' so we aren't left with all the filler songs (not that I think all of them are, but lots of people would) on release

There are parts in this song that remind me of Summertime Sadness. Can't wait to blast the official this weekend. It's clearly the best instrumental on the album.

Love it! I always longed for a burning desire-esque red stage for Cherry It would have been so easy to do a homemade video for that! Just put up a red curtain and look pretty in front of it. Ugh, why did they miss the chance. Again, it would have gotten her many more fans.

I've heard these lyrics insanely wrong... First line: "I like to see everything in the ****??" - didn't know what the word was but it sounded like "yard" or something. Pre-chorus: "dream a little dream of me. Meet me in a summer sweet" And yeah I also heard "shoot up my veins in the arm" But I believe both that one and the opening line are "neon"

I can actually manage to listen to the song without hating it and being disappointing. it all goes fine. Im just left wondering what happened to make her change it. Are the lyrics actually true? were THEY really so obsessed with writing the next BAR? Did it really happen? Was she also to blame in the first BAR but not telling the whole story? Or did someone new come along who was better for her but got her too involved? Like this isn't just another Beautiful People turned kid-friendly cause there was nothing wrong or violent or particularly distasteful (subjectively cause i love the original BP tho some would say it's just another glorification of domestic abuse) in the original BAR, and it goes better with the NFR theme of a guy who thinks he's everything. And then NFR (song) wouldn't feel so 'stand-aloneish' in this album cause we'd actually have a return to that theme?

I hope it's only a matter of time before these two ladies meet. Shirley (singer of Garbage) is close friends with Courtney Love and has spoken appraisal of Lana before. If Lana really wants to make friends with all the powerful women of the last generation she needs to get in touch with Shirley. Lana could make this even creepier and get on the sound track of American Horror Story or something, the way she did Scary Stories. Also, Joan Jett obviously. I love the double video. Though it seems like not much 'happens', I love the visuals so much and it does seem like a great closure to her past music videos (West Coast, Ride, Tropico, even White Mustang), and so many other throwbacks but that also kinda makes me sad. I really hope this is the video that gets her yet even more fans.

Her EP Dreamlover is out now. It's nice, and I love Now I Wait. But I'm getting a bit iffy about all her song titles sounding the same. Golden Heart (aka her best song) Heart of Gold Dreamlover Daydream Baby Bleed Honey Honeydew Angel Honey I get that it's probably intentional, like they are to be played as a series, but this is getting even more predictable than Lana's song titles used to be Anyway, she definitely is sticking to her style and I don't think anything will ever budge her from being her complete ideal self, which is great.

I used to be obsessed with that part in the music video where she's on the bike with the fireworks in both hands and wearing the headdress but I found out later that doing that is very problematic, but ignorant me loved that aesthetic Random, but when my sister first heard that part in Ride, she was like "I think Lana might also have bipolar! Cause when she says 'I'm tired of feeling like im fucking crazy!" and I was like, oh sis, not everyone who feels crazy has to have bipolar

Okay, you got me, cause strawberry shortcake doesnt scream school to me either. I'd say if that's partly true she was just playing around with that theme with a song like that in mind for k-12 but then liked it so much that it became standalone? It was released Dec 23rd 2015, right near Christmas, so I always had the idea that it was intentional to be 'her christmas song' but not the cheesy typical kind.

Yeah I was completely dissatisfied with how they wrapped up the coven's story in the last episode and how Mallory being the next supreme (and that powerful without explanation) just too simple. As with 1984, yeah, I hope the characters too aren't so stereotypical of young adults in slasher movies. That's the part that tires me the most. Ooof. But it's true. I can think of only a few scenes that were interesting enough to feel legit. Then the rest totally did feel like a show aimed at a young teen audience.
