I know it's been a long time since these shows, but I always wanted to do this and I was busy with my last year at high school so I had no time for that Just excuses... but now that Im doing nothing I can finally make Lanaboards know about my extraordinary experiences with Lana.
- TURIN, May 2nd: All by myself, I decided to go to Turin (I live 250kms far from it) in my little car. I left at 10pm and I arrived around midnight. I'm at the Forum, two boys were sleeping and I decided to settle there too. After like 10 minutes I realize I left my ticket at home (yeah, shoot me). So, desperate, sad and very mad I went back in my car and slept until 8am. At that time 14 people were outside the forum. I was number 15 (I could have been 3 but who cares). Suddenly I asked if somebody had an extra ticket for me and a guy sold me one cause his friend couldnt make it I cant tell you how happy I was. So, now that everything went back to normal I started having conversations and knowing people. It was really nice... talking about Lana and nothing else. I felt at home, I felt I belonged there. Sweet feelings. But then, more people started to arrive and the chaos began. Because of the numbers of the line of course But at 6pm after a really hot day, sweaty and looking like a tramp, doors opened. Heaven's gates opened. We ran till the front row and I was there, in the middle of the front row, waiting for my beauty queen. I was so happy omg The forum is almost sold out (just the part that was open cause it was like for 18.000 attendance and some were closed) and Kassidy start playing. I never listened to them before and Im really enjoying them and their music. It was really nice. Then they finished. Panic. In a few minutes Lana is out. The curtain's off and music start playing (I watched every single video of the tour on yt so it was no surprise but I was like it was the first time, well it was tbh ) and then she starts singing from behind, omg I love so much when she does that with her voice, like opera. Then Cola starts. Omfg here we are. I'll make you see the 40 second video I made, it's hilarious Im like dying. She comes out, in a white sundress (that then I realized it was the same as the one in Ride video) beautiful, omg how beautiful. In the real life she's even more handsome, she's perfect. Im like crying and shouting like a beast during the whole show. She performed MDM for like the last time, God it was so good. I really felt desperation with Blue Velvet(?), dunno why. And Carmen? Fuck when the chorus starts the drums are so heavy omg I can still feel them it's amazing. Body Electric was an orgasm Oh I forgot: during Cola, you know she came down to us, and I grab her hand (got the video of that too ) It was like an angel touched me. Felt like a virgin, touched for the very first time Then it's almost the end of the show, and National Anthem starts. So good live cause I dont like the BTD version but live I loved that. At the end of it she came down and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA she came to me and I tried to make a photo with her but it failed. She went away and then when she noticed I didnt make it she came back took my camera and did the photo herself. What a gentle soul, golden heart lady. It was over. My stomach was like deformed because of the huge pression of people behind me. I puked in the forum toilet. Who cares... back home. It was already saturday night.

- MILAN, sunday 5th: Me and two guys I met in Turin decided to go Milan on sunday evening (the show is on tuesday 7th ) so I took my little car again and went to Milan (this time 70 kms from my place) I arrived at the forum and there were the boys I knew and two new girls, I was number 5 yay! We spent the night outside the forum, we laughed so hard, we were drunk and high and talking about Lana and playing stupid games and it was so much fun. In the morning, monday morning, ten guys joined us and we really got along and created like a "team". Monday it was all ours. Again weed, vodka, sigarettes, games, Lana, music... Omg here I really felt happiness. It was so good. ahah could sounds immature but I loved that and I would live all my life like that. Just with less alcohol maybe and not a big fan of it. So, we spent the night like that, someone slept. I didnt. It was tuesday. THE DAY Lots of people started arriving (the forum 12.000 people was almost sold out). 6pm gates are about to open. Im almost fainting because of the excitement. They Open. Running was so good. The show starts, Kassidy play. Lana's about to come out. Cola. THERE SHE IS. In orange dress, so beautiful (but I prefered her in Turin). Highlights: BTD I was like shocked, again Carmen so beautiful and then NA. Then, She comes to come I dont know what to say, im like dying and these words came out "oh youre so beautiful" she made a face like this and told me "youre so sweet". Then, with my phone this time, I try to take a photo and I KISS HER CHEEK. So soft omg. She also signed my cd. Everything I want I have now. Show's over, very sad about not seeing Lana and the people I met again, or at least soon.
These were the best days of my life, I will never forget how I felt, so happy and free and at home. Hope you enjoy my silly story
Oh, the shame video:

"and so, from being created in his likeness
to being banished, for wanting to be too much like him
we were cast out
and the garden of eden transformed into the garden of evil
los angeles, the city of angels, the land of gods and monsters
the in-between realm, where only the choices made from your free will
will decide your soul’s final fate
some poets called it the entrance to the underworld
but on some summer nights, it could feel like paradise
paradise lost" isn't this by Lana?

Mmm....
Why you make me work so hard
To put on that evening show
When you know that all I want
Is to make your money grow?
You're like a baby who don't got nowhere to go
I feel you eyeing me, you keep it on the low
(on the low, on the low)
But I can't let you in
And I can't keep you out
I wait for life to [win/mend/end?]
But it never comes around
And I can't hear you call
And I can't hear me [shout?]
I wait for it to break
But it never comes around
And I'm lonely
I'm lonely
I'm lonely
Why you make me take that shit
To put on that evening show
When you know I don't need it
Better than your booze and blow?
You're like a baby, don't know better, you don't know
You drag me down, you try to keep it on the low
But I can't let you in
And I can't keep you out
I wait for life to [win/mend/end?]
But it never comes around
And I can't hear you call
And I can't hear me [shout?]
I wait for it to break
But it never comes around
(Scatting)
Feel like I'm falling apart
(Scatting)
Feel like I'm falling apart
(Scatting)
Feel like I'm falling apart
Would you tell me?
Would you tell me?
Would you tell me?
But I can't let you in
And I can't keep you out
I wait for life to [win/mend/end?]
But it never comes around
And I can't hear you call
And I can't hear me [shout?]
I wait for it to break
But it never comes around
And I'm lonely
I'm lonely
I'm lonely

Listen to Cola live. She sings Harveys and I come alive alive
btw I always thought in Carmen she sang "she gives em butterflies, but too coco-something"
in BTD "is it by mistake or desire" and when she says "sometimes love" I thought "SantaClaus"

prettydrugs liked a post in a topic by ilovetati in Honeymoon - Pre-Release and Discussion Thread
I thought it might be useful to dedicate one thread to the early tidbits of info we are getting about Lana'a up-coming fourth studio album.
Here's what we have thus far:
Interview for The Fader:
I’m a big jazz aficionado. Hopefully my next foray will be into jazz. I feel like I’m getting there with songs like ‘Shades of Cool’ and ‘Cruel World’ and a cover of ‘The Other Woman’ by Nina Simone. I’m inching towards what I really love, which is kind of a Chet Baker, Nina Simone-inspired sound. It’s hard to get that sound because you need great jazz musicians.

http://lizzydelgrant.tumblr.com/post/90085038067
Interviewer: You will record something tonight, do you know what it is, or right now?
Lana: I do, yeah I do. I have this idea for this record called "Music to Watch Boys To," so. Yeah, I'm just kind of thinking about that and what that would mean [laughs].
---
Interview for Galore Magazine:
Are you working on anything new?
Yeah, I just wrote two songs for Tim Burton and Harvey Weinstein’s film called Big Eyes and I’m working on a new record. I’m also always writing small pieces for independent films etc. Dan Heath and Rick Nowels are two of my dearest friends and producers and we are always up to something.
---
Interview for Grazia Magazine
What is your state of mind now?
I’m afraid this album will be forgotten. I’m always afraid good things will be forgotten, burried. Musically, I’m still looking for something different, with majestic choruses, beautiful orchestrations, a type of 50s vibe with a bit of soft grunge. Since march, I’ve been writing a lot of new songs, in a more conventional way -the verses, then the refrain, with a strong jazzy influence. I’m having a lot of fun with all of that. And next year, I’ll tour across the USA. I’ve been doing it only once before and I was really moved, especially in Detroit where I could feel the weight of its History. So, that’s why I decided I wanted to do it again, this time with my friend Courtney Love, for two months. My new album will come out after, maybe for late-august.
Did you writing style change for this next record?
My lyrics are very similar to me, who I truly am, but I must admit that I’m currently trying to do some new things. It’s a bit surrealist, full of colors. I feel much more inspired by people like Mark Ryden, Fellini or Picasso… Oh, I’m totally fond of this documentary: “Fellini : I’m a Born Liar”, which explains that the film-maker was in love with his hometown, and each of his movies is like one of its facets. I like his idea, the fact that truth should never impede to a beautiful lie… (she smiles)
You seem to like evoking the 50s imagery in your songs: the golden age of recording studios, ladies singing late at night with their big band…
Yeah, I love it. I love nightlife, the mood that comes from it. That’s why I wanted to meet Mark Ronson: I played him ten songs I just composed for this next album. Not so much that he added his usual signature, soul and funk, but rather it explores a sound close to the golden age of jazz. I wasn’t even born in the 50s but I feel like I was there. And when I still was living in New York, I was looking for this dream, maybe some other girls had the same, to live as a singer in a jazz club where I could sing some standards, but my own compositions too. I had a very ‘romantic’ vision of what a singer’s life should be. I daydreamed about tours in Europe, just like Chet Baker did, for example.
---
Billboard Magazine:
Lana Del Rey has nine songs written for her next album, titled Honeymoon -- four of which "the production is perfect; I'm looking for a few more songs to tie everything together" -- and thanks to her cinematic new song, she's also in the thick of awards season.
Does the Big Eyes song give us any indication of how the new album will sound?
It's very different from the last one and similar to the first two, Born to Die and Paradise. I finished my last one [Ultraviolence] in March and released it in June and I had a follow-up idea. It's growing into something I really like. I'm kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It's been good.
You're still writing everything?
I'm doing a cover of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." After doing a cover of [Jessie Mae Robinson's] "The Other Woman," I like summarizing the record with a jazz song. I'm having fun with my interpretation.
I assume you're relying on the Nina Simone versions?
"Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and "The Other Woman" are my favorites. I'm so so much [a fan].
---
Mark Ronson for Triple J:
http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/media/s4174087.htm
Says that he rumors of his involvement with Honeymoon are an "internet thing," but says he has heard "beautiful tracks" and does not want to comment on anything before Lana does. However, he says that he has not worked on anything (yet?)
---
The Inquirer:
" I feel that the three records were so heavy and autobiographical. It’s been so cathartic. I like to use my previous work as a jump-off point to do something new. I’m ready to go into more of a ‘Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds’ surrealist place. That’s why I really do like what I heard about Fellini and all of the movies that were overdubbed and the actors were counting and not saying lines. I couldn’t believe that.
---
Inrockuptibles:
"Everybody has asked why I wanted to end Ultraviolence by a cover of The Other Woman by Nina Simone. Because she says everything, because I love jazz and may be because it could a door for what could be the next album."
---
Mark Ronson for Interview Magazine:
"Q-TIP: What are you doing in L.A.?
Mark RONSON: I'm going to do some recording with Lana Del Rey today and tomorrow. I found this cool old studio out here.
Q-TIP: Are you producing?
RONSON: I don't know. She has some songs and I said I had some demo ideas, and if they are any good, then maybe she'll like them and we'll go from there. "

#3 Complex http://www.complex.com/music/2014/12/best-albums-2014/
Earlier this year, Lana Del Rey performed a 10-song set at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery—the place where her idols lay to rest, within the city that she's idolized, the Old Hollywood she attempts to embody within her music. She, frankly, peaked. Just two years after her second, highly acclaimed Born to Die album, Lana linked up with Black Keys virtuoso Dan Auerbach for a ride through the West, with enough twang to make even her own idols bow before her. Because that's what Lana does best—takes the iconic old souls, farms their depression, and crafts it into a stunning, no matter how contrived, body of work.
Ultraviolence is just under an hour, a refreshing 11 songs that Lana perfected to represent all rumors about the artist she really is. "West Coast," the woozy first single, followed by "Sad Cry," a tale about being the other woman, are two tracks that define the album. Followed up with cuts like "Brooklyn Baby," which she wrote with Lou Reed in mind, to "Fucked My Way Up to the Top," a bluesy diss track that comments on the media's perception of her. Throughout all 11 tracks on Ultraviolence, Lana makes one thing clear and it's that her want to retreat from the same glory and fame she desired balances seamlessly with her longing for the glamorous world in the first place.

January 2016 it is then!
Interesting how she thought she went too far in writing Ultraviolence...I wonder if she means the production or the lyrics or (probably) just putting FMWUTTT on the album. I hope she is still proud of it but either way it's a really important record to me and it looks like it at least inspired her to create, whereas after Paradise she was all about retirement and shit.
