  1. I feel like this era has taken me in so many places already. From the worry/dread that this album was going to be Honeymoon 2.0 and that Lana was going to stay completely in her safe zone, to Lana boldly ready to proclaim her album Best American Record, then going on the moon, then possibly a witch, then possibly joining members of the Arctic Monkeys, then a socially-conscious forest queen, then killing herself enjoying life on the Hollywood sign as a possible ghost, then peers with Stevie Nicks and Sean Lennon, then fucking/collaborating rapper G-Eazy in the clubs, then queen of positivity, then ready to attack the press, now a song that namechecks Coachella. I've never been more confused about where an era is going.
  2. Eh, her hair looks nice
  3. Every time I see this thread get updated I get so nervous because I'm expecting to see her name in a new controversy.
  4. I thought this side of her was gone. So happy it's back.
  5. We're all going to be here on May 26th at 11:59 PM like "there's still a chance the album's coming today" while Lana and G-Eazy are on a boat somewhere, G-Eazy fanning her with a palm tree branch after delivering her daily dick session.
  6. I would be so here for a Lana president. She would be the most mysterious and cryptic president. Her entire campaign would just be posters she made on Paint and printed out from her computer and put out around her neighborhood, her goals would be direct ("Sonically, I'd really like to hear more love in the world and, visually, I'd like the country to return to that sort of grainy 60's aesthetic"), The Weeknd would be First Man (unless she does away with traditional roles and has Chuck as First Lady), all of her press conferences would be filmed by Chuck on VHS in Lana's closet at 2 in the morning (and wouldn't be broadcast until like 3 months later), Lana would answer every question regarding new deals and such with "it's coming soon, guys, you're gonna love it", every person in the white house and on her team would be picked based on how much of a spiritual connection she intuitively felt with them, the country would be left in the dark for months about current matters only to get a breaking news announcement at 1 AM about a new cloning theory or a promotion for an upcoming Fleur show, her tweets would be either very vague ("LOVE") "(PEACE") or irrelevant in regards to the country ("my boyfriend's def cooler than me today") ("Paul still has no hair"), her interviews (all in print) would be wonderfully controversial ("I've been sleeping with so many foreign leaders, but none of them have offered new deals, which is annoying") ("I think a lot about how Kennedy went down. Some days I wish somebody would shoot me already"). At some point, Lana would probably sleep in and miss an important meeting that would end up somehow with us all getting blown up, but right before then she would send one final live stream calmly doing her make-up like "hey guys, i'm so sorry this didn't work out, but I'm sending you all my love." *blows kiss and sweetly giggles*. "Also, my new album Lust for Life is going on pre-order as soon as I finalize the track list. Okay, lots of love, bye bye." And then, in the final 30 seconds, she would send out a pre-order for Lust For Life--without the complete tracklist. Lana for president 2020.
  7. For those who seem to be upset that Lana is currently enjoying her life (???), what exact response are you looking for her to have? The album/marketing plan has either been pushed back or it hasn't. That isn't in her control. And unless you want her to grab a guitar and start going around open mics in Cali, when and where she performs her songs are mostly up to her team. Yeah, she could make a few more posts on her social media pages, but knowing how diehard most of her fanbase is, I am not sure how many people she would reach who haven't already heard it/were planning to listen to it anyway. So, what should she do? Like, should she tweet and threaten to jump off the H? Should she make a live stream and cry about how her song is not doing well? Should she make a horrible buzz single using food as a metaphor for sex? What do you want?
  8. I just Googled him. Holy shit, I would do anything on camera for him.
  9. As soon as I saw this on Instagram, my first thought was to check here for the meltdowns.
  10. "released in spring" probably means June 20th at 11:59 PM Hawaiian time.
  11. I swear she's never looked more beautiful. Why are they in boxes?
  12. This is something that is kind of concerning to me. Based on everything that's been released, it feels like we're getting something that is: -a socially conscious album that addresses some of the current concerns ("Love", Lana's own words about the album) -an album that's a return to at least some of the BTD signature sound, but that also has an acoustic side (Lana's own words) -a song with Stevie Nicks, which--since she enlisted Stevie specifically, will probably have some rock-ish vibes to it -at least one song that seems to be about viewing the past in a nostalgic, personal way (Tomorrow Never Came) -elements of sci-fi (the Love MV and album trailer) -something that's both dark and kind of playful and hopeful (the album trailer, Lana's monologue) -at least one song about having a wonderment for living (LFL) but that also features some (possible) darker elements and could potentially be viewed as the retelling of a famous suicide -something "fresh" (Lana's manager) -something that suggests a country/folk/70s songwriter throwback (the LFL album cover) -an examination of inner clarity (Lana's own words, though admittedly from a long time ago and possibly no longer relevant) Combine all this together and it is a little hard to see where she is going with this. It feels like it would be very easy to start going off track. I'm not saying that can't, or hasn't, fused different styles together successfully (BTD is iconic in part for mixing different sounds in a way that felt fresh and modern), but doing that does run the risk of creating an album that isn't sure what it is trying to say. My two thoughts on this are that it might either be, as others have suggested here, a greatest hits type of album, sampling the sounds that are fan favorites from her discography (which I really hope isn't the case) and/or a loose concept album that goes in a similiar pattern as Tropico, starting with darker songs like BAR and moving on to concerns beyond fame and/or relationships, finding the light and lust in life, etc. I'm intrigued, but nervous about how it's going to come out.
  13. This doesn't sound like something Lana would say. She would phrase this differently.
  14. I could low-key see her doing this and laughing while using her cracked phone.
  15. I got too distracted watching her head spin around in the fruit bowl to listen to what she was singing.
  16. The author is kind of cute, though, which is a shame. I felt bad for all the dragging he is getting and thought that maybe Buzzfeed just wasn't letting him live up to his true potential by having him write these mostly wordless articles about Lana looking at the camera and Justin Theroux's arms, but upon viewing this dude's twitter feed.....as our queen Lana would say, everything happens for a reason. I commend him for knowing his true path.
  17. mac and cheese= pasta that's cheesy=it's not easy being cheesy= G-Eazy has a rap verse during Lana and Stevie's song about pasta. This will be iconic.
  18. It took me like 30 seconds to realize she was holding her phone in the first pic. I could have sworn it was a random toothbrush.
  19. That's cool because I remember in an interview a while ago, Rick said Lana reminded him of Stevie and that she (Lana) was a legend in the making. When I first read that, I thought he was just pulling a similiar music figure for reference, but it's cool that he's worked closely with both and been able to see the similarities between them and where he sees Lana taking her art.
  20. I was absolutely not expecting to see this headline, but so excited for what is to come.
  21. She's probably smoking weed with G-Eazy on her balcony as he tries to rap for her while she sits there nodding her head like, "Um, wow Gerald, that's really nice."
  22. West Coast>Ride>Video Games<HBTB<Love I'm not sure if we're voting for what song we like best out of these 5 or which one works the best as a lead single, but if it's the latter, and it's about what song delivers that sense of excitement and intrigue for a new era and album, it has to be WC for me--100%. The UV era had my full attention the second those opening drums started. God I wish I could go back.
  23. Even streaming the full song? Like, it's just on a loop?
