All of lana's albums are best described as experimental. None of them are the same genre, yet none of them can be classified as a single genre.
 
Born To Die - Baroque Pop/Hip Hop
Ultraviolence - Desert Rock/Dream Pop/Psychedelic Rock
Honeymoon - Jazz/Trap

Pop doesn't have to be Top 40 It is a genre after all. 
People always argue what genre she is, but she can't be indie since she isn't an independent artist. At best she can be alternative (Ultraviolence) but the majority of her work is pop. Don't tell me Born To Die isn't a pop record. And that Honeymoon doesn't follow pop formulas.

This genre argument is boring. I'd say Lana is a more alternative/indie artist at heart but she's also marketed as a pop artist because it's a wider audience and because she does have some pop songs, and a lot of her songs are on the border of stuff that could get radio play. She's not completely one way, she's not nor a pop artist because a lot of her songs are, but she's not completely pop because not all of her songs are. Besides, who cares anyway? Whatever genre she is to you doesn't change anything xx

You an me both. Years ago after the BTD release I'm sure she had said she had nothing left to say and wouldn't want to make another album because she'd said it all. I've been nervous ever since that day that she won't make anything more.

This album release is so messy... If it's actually coming May 26 why don't we have a pre-order yet? Several artists releasing in June (Lorde, Halsey, etc.) have already put a pre-order so why can't she. She can at least give us the fucking tracklist

That's just because love's release was messy and if the promo was done properly i think it would've done way better

I don't know anyone that knows that song other than Lana fans I know or people who i've told about the song, & i've never heard it on the radio. I don't think it would've blown up or anything like BTD, its just not the kind of music the general public likes anymore.

Because UV is her best album

Based on Love's success doesnt seem like that will ever happen again unless she delivers bops like BTD
