  1. Isn't weird how Honeymoon doesn't appear to be under Intescope license on itunes? UV and BTD are both under license of the two labels but only Honeymoon says ""Lana Del Rey, under exclusive license to Polydor Ltd. (UK)"
  2. A question: the car that appears in the beginning of HM audio is actually the one used for the cover?

    Alessia Cara

I thought her EP would be more R&B but I love it. Nothing is as good as Here tho
  4. oh, no. I'm not saying the first half of HM is better than second but if we compare to the first half of BTD and UV isn't strong enough.
  5. Today I listened Honeymoon, Terrence Loves You and HBTB one after other rather than judge them as individuals songs and I think even if MTWBT and God Knows I tried are really good songs this first half of record might be her weakest by far? If we compare her last last records the first half usually are better than the second part ( at least for me). BTD = BTD, OTTR,BJ,VG, DMD ( Diet MnD is the only one mediocre) UV - CW, UV, SoC, BB, WC ( at least 4 of these are amazing)

I'm listening her album now and I can't really get where the "concept album" comes from. Do you remember in which interview she explains it?
  7. It seems she won't promote this album outiside her conform zone ( instagram, twitter and facebook) so her team has to release SOMETHING during the week of release to create some hype around it.
  8. Why people are saying this album sounds all over the places? The album has two segments: Miles Davis's inspired songs ( HM, TLY) and then the "muddy trap" ones ( HBTB as example). I think what she meant by Future Retro is how the album goes from retro love songs that sounds very 60's to more modern tracks with beats in it. For me it sounds more coherent than put Video Games between those songs full of beats and screaming as backgrounds.
  9. Same. My problem with HM and TLY isn't really Lana's lyrics but how Rick's melodies doesn't stand out. Lana's voice can create that moody aspect so the songs aren't totally trash or bad but his production so far is really dissapointing. I wish she would work with Dan, Rubin or even Emile again
  10. It's all happening so fast that I'm actually scared. This is all is too good to be true, right? She released a new song and a new video in the same week, announced her album in a month...It must be something wrong waiting for us, like a bad cover art or she's gonna mess up an interview again. Nothing is too easy for Lana ( sadly)
  11. So I finally watched when I got home from work so I could properly share my opinion on this one. First of all I love how was made to look like it was shot in one take. This particularly scene is one of my favorites of her videography, it's stunning: From this scene to the climax of the video ( taking down the helicopter) it made the video totally worth it. Other than that I still think the beginning a little odd - like it was improvised or she didn't know what to do. While this has a clearly message towards media and her privacy I wish she could've been a little more explicit about it. The headlines and gossip magazines could feature some of her photos or she could see some of her photos already posted online and then she would freak out and get the gun, this definitely could translate the video for a wider audience that can't really understand what's the meaning behind all this.
  12. I like it! The video has a good concept, it's beatiful shot and has a good twist, the song is fun. After this video I think the line "The truth is I never buy into your bullshit when you would pay tribute to me" is directly to media, right? They praised UV but she is so not buying the praise because she knows they will trash sooner or later again
  13. HBTB video might be inspired by Mad Max: Fury Road and I'm totally here for it. Lana Furiosa is all that I need
  14. Didn't Mike will made it posted on twitter she played this track for him a long time ago? If I'm not wrong they met almost two years ago.
  15. It makes sense she included Serial Killer at Endless Summer setlist. HBTB has a very similar vibe, doesn't? Also after her last IG photo I think that Rihanna picture wasn't so random, maybe she is actually releasing a gangster bitch video this time
  16. Now we have two songs of each genre she mentioned earlier ( Honeymoon is one of MIles Davis's inspired and HBTB is one of muddy trap songs). If she balances them right ( not like BTD who has such an organic and beatiful song like VG and the rest of the album is really overproduced) this could be one of her best albums.
  17. I swear I didn't think we were ever going to get a single like. It's very pop and it could easily be one of the unreleased material. It is her best song? Not really, but it's catchy as fuck. Enjoy it a sassy Lana, guys. Stop overthinking and put your headphones on and let's just dance to that simple but good vibes beat. She deserves a break from her sadness
  18. this is so cool Put me In a Movie - lights, camera, action You know I can't make it on my own High by the Beach: Lights, camera, action I’ll do it on my own
  19. Am I also thirsty as fuck but I don't want this to leak. It has a potential for a hit and let it be that way
  20. I actually really like the lyrics ( if it's actually the real one) because it has a totally different vibe of honeymoon. Maybe Honeymoon was the "swan song" of the bad boy dependency. And she can use as many lyrics she wants of her older tracks because they were stolen from her. We weren't supposed to listen to them
  21. If I could bet I would say by the cover it's not really going to be a bop but something like Kill Kill - slow and sensual with dark lyrics.
  22. Do you guys remember that awesome version of West Coast that Nowels produced for European radios? I believe HBB will sound be as good
  23. I'm surprised how her figure changed, but I think she definitely looks bigger than she is mainly because of her poor fashion choices. She seems to have this ideia that "whatever people say I am, that's what I'm not".If LDR is glamorous and shallow, the "real" lana is just simple and not really concerned about her appearance.
  24. Now that her management team has increased ( http://www.billboard.com/articles/business/6649089/tap-management-teams-with-career-artist-management ) maybe her new agency is involved with the release of the album. This could have affected the initial schedule
