  1. or maybe you stopped listening the song because is completely forgettable
  2. Calm down I don't really know much about Selena but I'm sure she announced a date for her official single and then Interscope released on itunes, apple music, spotify and so on. She also did some radio interviews in support of her single and posted some previews of the clip even before the announcement of her new album. While Lana just created an instagram account for her new album, posted a song all of sudden on her private account and then didn't say a word about it. It's really different, don't you see? At least with WC she premiered on BBCRADIO1, it was an official first single and you could actually buy it or listen on spotify, at the end it was a more traditional release. While everything about HM release is confusing.
  3. Remember when we all complained about how UV promotional campaign was a mess? Honeymoon is worse. She posted the song and then dissapeared
  4. I think we underestimated HIM lyrics because of the whole "I'm in love/obsessed with a bad boy" but it definitely adds a new narrative to the story she created so far. She said before her lyrics are either about her past or how she wished things were. On HM she finally let her past go and she's "dreaming her life away" with this guy ( she's saying to him all things they could do together, ex: they "could cruise to the blues") which is different because usually her songs are about her "past" ( ex: "he used call me DN" and so on) Honeymoon could be an "after story" or the final chapter of the Lana Del Rey character before she releases something completely new.
  5. I liked his essay on V Magazine. It confirmed that she plays with some reporters ( hello, Rolling Stones!) and she isn't actually a compulsive liar ( which at some point I suspected). "Sometimes Lana doesn't know what to say in interviews, so she plays into the idea that her songs are her, and not her creations".
  6. Whenever I read "muddy trap" description I think of Money Power Glory or something similar to The Weeknd. Does anybody have something similar to a "muddy trap" song to enlighten me? I really don't know what to expect from this record anymore
  7. General public seems really disappointed with the song, I think I've read two pages of "this is so boring" or "born to die is better" on yt I love the song but it's definitely risky to release it as first single.
  8. We speculated how would she premiere the song for two months ( apple music, vevo, radio and so on) but in the end she just posted a video she edited on her macbook on her personal yt But it's a good reminder that Lana isn't playing the popstar card anymore and we shouldn't expect her to follow any "rules" we are used to on music industry, girl is doing her own way.
  9. The song is better than the preview lead us to believe, that's for sure. It has an unique atmosphere and her voice is building a desperate climax of the song. Everything works for me but I still need a song with a very distinct melody, that's what I'm looking for next single. Also the fact she posted on her personal account means this could be a buzz single just like Video Games and then MTWBT is the real first single with a huge video.
  10. I'm not blaming her label what I said actually it was that if this was a promotion campaign orchestrated they would be involved somehow - create an account for an album it's not usual after all and there is a preview of a new song. But it seems personal and I'm happy she is teasing us until her label gives her a date release because it's better than nothing.
  11. Interscope doesn't even care to post anything related to that IG honeymoon account. It's clear she is doing all promo by herself right now because she believes in this project and her music, we don't know what happened with the release date (maybe her label decided to postpone the release). I'm happy she at least is teasing us with some details of the album because is obvious not her fault - she seems happy and proud of it.
  12. She is collaborating with a lot of people she already worked with and this worries me a little bit. It would be cool if she decides to collaborate with a new director so the visuals of this era could be improved. Or at least someone like Yoann Lemoine
  13. lol it was obviously a joke. You hoes can't understand sarcasm
  14. She no longer wants to be Lana del rey. This is the 2nd coming of Lizzie Grant that's why she posted that selfie on honeymoon and not on @@lanadelrey, how didn't you guys get this? I mean it's so obvious...
  15. So I guess this means Honeymoon is kinda a new personal account for her?
  16. Remember that time she posted an instagram picture with "ULTRAVIOLENCE" and the official announcement came out two months later?
  17. I pray everyday for that instagram caption won't turn out to be an actual lyric in a song. "Living in the land of Honeymoons & Oil Tycoons. God Bless America, the land of pink champagne & purple rain."
  18. I still don't understand that HM instagram account. It doesn't seem a good strategy
  19. It will put much more responsibility on Lana's ability as songwriter and vocalist though. If we analyze Ultraviolence I don't think the album would be as successful without Dan's production - her songwriting wasn't that strong to carry the whole record. What I like about Nowels is that as a songwriter he always put focus on a good melody, a clean voice on studio and there isn't much going on with his productions.
  20. I feel so bad for Barrie after that interview and then he posted a video on fb and he was sorry for leaving the band and he was a mess. That was embarrassing and sad
  21. Am I the only excited about Nowels as the main producer? Lana so far has worked with producers who have their own style and identity ( which is not a bad thing at all because we have 3 albuns different from each other), but Nowels productions are quite simple. I think we're finally gonna hear Lana's vision of her own songs, she seems much more in control this time around.
  22. He's great but it's not his fault she chose that boring photo as cover of the album
  23. I'm more excited about this look than those snippets of Homeymoon
  24. In an article published today Telegraph mentioned Lana as one of female songwriters Ronson has worked with. "He has produced maverick female singer songwriters (Lily Allen, Adele, Lana Del Rey)" http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/rockandpopfeatures/11694274/mark-ronson-interview-amy-winehouse-glastonbury.html It might be just a mistake tho..'-'
