Yeah I agree her voice isn't the most stunning out there and the way she sings (and even speaks, in her videos) in a higher tone than her natural one doesn't help either. Her natural tone is so much more pleasing. I really dislike Titanic as a whole and I wish he'd fuck off lol, Moriah deserves better.

I was obsessed with Cry Baby when I discovered it but it got old. Fast. Sis needs to release new material asap.

Hmm, guess my assumption is wrong. I know producers =/= labels but I sorta figured that without being part of the label the producers work for it'd be difficult to get the rights to the songs or something. I dunno. Clearly I'm uneducated, so that's my bad .

This would... surprisingly work. I doubt it would happen but there are some pretty good Vocaloid pop producers. It just frustrates me that they chose this direction. The whole "parody of a pop star" thing. Unlike actual "generic" pop stars this is literally her choice, while the people she's parodying have their outputs controlled by the labels. It's so annoying to me that they can stop this act whenever they want and give us quality pop songs again. How recent is this because she's been dropped by labels a couple times including the one that released Bubblebath so wouldn't it be difficult/impossible for them to actually release these songs anymore? I'm not sure how it all works though so sorry if I sound really dumb lol

I'm still hopelessly holding out for "Everybody Wants It All" to leak in full, would satisfy me much more than this upcoming album.

yeah it's time to unstan this album. "Let's Make A Video" is trash, we're never getting another Bubblebath. Moriah has talent but its being wasted away with the YouTube shit which has become beyond boring and predictable and the songs are getting worse and worse. ...but then again that's probably the whole point, knowing Titanic. "up and coming talented star becomes slave to industry and puts out mediocre music" narrative.

Summertime Sadness. It was the tragic time where the remix was all over radio and when I found the original I could NOT get into it for my life. Looking back years later and I fucking hate the remix but it was what introduced me to Lana Del Rey in the first place, thankful for that I guess. There are so many other songs that I never hated but I just couldn't get into for a long time, not until just recently for some. For example I didn't care for Florida Kilos until a couple weeks ago. Million Dollar Man and Without You were the songs on BTD that I had a strong dislike for and felt ruined a near-perfect album until a couple weeks ago also, now I quite enjoy them both. I didn't like Yayo (either version) much either ( ) until a couple months ago. Other than those in particular there aren't other noteworthy ones that I had the biggest change of opinion on. A lot of her album tracks just took me a handful of listens over a lengthy period of time to properly appreciate and now I regularly listen to them all.

This Friday is the Reunion episode, the finale won't air until the 23rd. It's gonna be a season 1-3/AS2 style reunion. I think they filmed it today which makes it kinda weird they'll know what happened at the finale but not know the winner.

I'm mad at myself for checking reddit today lol, spoilers are near unavoidable. I ended up reading one by accident that I thought was some elaborate shitpost under a spoiler tab given the title, even as I read a bit of it I was like "okay so there's no way this is real... right?" but the comments weren't dismissing it and everyone was actually discussing it so I was like... what the fuck. What the fuck. Honestly this is just unpredictability for unpredictability's sake. At least there'll allegedly be good ass performances.

I was genuinely so nervous for my girl Trinity this week, having the queens sing/rap as a major component of the final challenge is some bullshit imo because some people just are not cut out for it at all, there's no way you can expect someone to be able to sing/rap well in such a short time. Bring back music videos. Though tbh I was more surprised she struggled with the dancing as well considering what she did vs Charlie in the lipsync and some live performances I've seen (EOY 2014 for example)
