I was just grouping together all her post-Bubblebath stuff but I don't think Adored and I'm Poppy will be on the album

okay I have the song it's better than Adored, Let's Make A Video and I'm Poppy but I think Computer Boy is still the best post-Bubblebath song she's done. This has a nice beat but it seems to be lacking something and the "la la la" parts are... eh.

i'm haunted by the fact that her solo career could've had a better chance of going somewhere had she not fucked up on X-Factor but also I never would've known who she was if not for that so that's sort of a paradox

@ the song being too high for her and lipsyncing in a concert; fuck knows this is probably intentional as well because her whole character is essentially a mockery of Britney Spears. all the parallels are there. I've given up caring about her until the album and probably after that too.

I heard the whole album is circulating in trading circles. People have it. Fergie's allegedly announcing a release date soon. Also, track times are out there somewhere as well, not just the tracklist.

Just in case that Wired interview wasn't confirmation enough, Poppy just tweeted "July 14th is important" and I replied to fans asking if it was the album with "Oct. 6th" and she liked my tweet. eta: my guess is July 14th will be something related to The Poppy Show mentioned in the Wired article.

Disconnect is a fine song, I don't even really consider it hers since all she did was provide vocals. Clean Bandit fucked around with it for 2 years before finally releasing it and it was certainly not worth the wait but whatever, it remains fine and doesn't really hurt either party. edit: nvm ignore me I forgot she also wrote it. musically though I can't compare it to her other works since she was so heavily involved in the production of her own albums in comparison. If she removes 'and the Diamonds' from her stage name for the release of her next album I won't mind, my library will though.
