Best Dressed Female Artists of 2013

    1. Rihanna

Fronting campaigns for Armani Jeans and Balmain is just your average day for style icon Rihanna. The singer kept us on our toes all year with her ever-changing, boundary-pushing looks. The Bajan beauty has gone from ethereal goddess to ‘90s club kid and back again countless times. Through it all, she always managed to keep her professional bad girl style identity firmly in place. She’s a total badass.

    2. Taylor Swift

With her now-trademark red lip, smoky eye shadow, sparkling mini dresses, Swift sexed up her look this year, leaving us sartorially enamored. Who could forget her sultry performance of “Trouble” at the Victoria Secret show weeks ago? This girl knows how to show off her legs. Being supermodel thin certainly helps.

    3. Beyoncé

When she’s not rocking Pucci and glittering Armani jumpsuits onstage, Queen Bey’ is flashing her killer relaxed style on the streets. But it’s more than her sartorial choices, which have extended to mega designers like Chanel and Givenchy, that make her one of the most stylish ladies in the industry. It’s her effervescent spirit that creates her matchless style.

    4. Lana Del Rey

From enticing to dazzling, Lana Del Rey churned out style hit after hit this year. With her hypnotizing sound and effortlessly cool threads, Del Rey takes the vintage aesthetic to new heights--from her bouffant hair to toe.

    5. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez added a mature, cool edge to her youthful style this year. Perhaps it was a result of her secret meet-ups with Anna Wintour at the Four Seasons in Milan, or hanging out with Donatella Versace that have Gomez a sparkling new take on style. We’re not exactly sure, but we’re certainly into her sophisticated global glamour.

I wouldnt have suspected the eligibility but she wasnt even nominated for golden globes. I thought this was more sure than being nominated to Oscars

Stating the obvious is now fighting ?

Just read the lyrics. They are most Lana´s cliche ever. They were "surely" edited by a movie director. I think its way more likely that she had 90% of this song already written before Baz´s ask and was meant to be on  Paradise (=the fact she proved).

    I've seen the world
    Done it all
    Had my cake now
    Diamonds, brilliant
    In bel air now
    Hot summer nights, mid july
When you and I were forever wild
    The crazy days, city lights
The way you'd play with me like a child

All that grace, all that body
All that face, makes me wanna party
He's my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds

Its like the final song on Paradise after Bel Air.

PS: And original movie song is the song that is originally written for the specific movie.

If u were a fan you would know that she even sang lyrics "will you still love me when im no longer young and beautiful...) during radio show at the beginning of summer 2012 claiming this was gonna be on her new record. Seethe.

Edit: Somebody has already put u in the place where you belong.

Oh my fking god. I thought she would make stripped-down acoustic music and now she is coming to slaughter everyone´s throat. A Clockwork Orange inspired music video for the first single ?

I don't think Lana is really that interested in selling the most records or her record being Number 1 for 14 weeks like other pop artists are. She had that with Born to Die and it was probably stressful having to promote it so much and having to deal with the backlash to something you love like she did that record. She barely promoted Paradise and in general, we haven't been hearing that much professionally from her this year. I hope she focuses on creating a record she loves and is proud of instead of making something she likes and that will sell well and make her beloved.

literally only have 2 moods: happy and moody/bitchy for no identifiable reason at 2am lol.  so lately its been me listening to either lucky ones(demo) after talking 2 my bf and being a weirdo or me singing tired of singing the blues angrily on my way 2 taco bell   ..the taco bell usually takes me right back 2 that lucky ones feeling tho 8) ("100% pure beef"~ ure a careless con & ure a crazy liar..)

makes you realize how strong the thematic consistency is in her work, when a song written more than five years ago can still mesh quite well with a current music video. wonder if she's really going to move past these elements in ultraviolence or just tweak them a bit
