    Create an Era

Lust For Life: What Could Have Been (If Lana had kept the horror themes of the LFL trailer) The aesthetic: Black and white, grainy pictures that look like relics, long black dresses and straight dark hair, candles, old-school horror movies, space, magic, a mix of old and new Hollywood, old-school horror movie tropes Themes of the album: Uncertainty about the future, feeling lost in love, unattainable relationships, sisterhood/"Sisters Of The Moon", navigating darkness in the world, a sense of omnipotence The songs include lots of violins and heavy drums and all sound eerie, several unique sounds like theremin and waterphone. Lana plays a witchy role with lyrics about magic and watching over the inhabitants of Hollyweird (from the H in the sign). It's melancholy and playful, with some moments of reassurance and hope (like in Love). One track is very B-movie inspired and sounds straight out of a soundtrack. SR is present complete with a longer "Carnival of Souls" sample. The Stevie collab is still present, but the song is more like "Sisters Of The Moon" or "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac and is about women and their feminine powers in witchcraft. Political elements are still there but not so on the nose. No rap collab, but some rock-heavy collaboration with bands from the 90's. The tour set is black and white, with glittery space motifs. Lana wears black ensembles with bright flowers and dark makeup. The backdrop shows clips made by Lana of old school movies and magic visuals.
  2. The last Lana song I listened to in 2017 was Salvatore. My concert date is in 12 days so I'm gonna not listen to her at all this week, then listen to her every day leading up to the concert to get hype! What are some of your resolutions? Here are mine
  3. Idk about that, the writing in Crocodile seemed very lazy to me and the main character wasn't developed enough to make me believe she would actually go to the lengths she did in the episode, it felt way too long and the ending was a cop out
  4. This season EVAPORATED my wig! My ranking: 1.Hang The DJ 2. Black Museum 3. Arcangel 4. USS Callister 5. Crocodile 6. Metalhead BM and HTDJ are close though, I loved the intricacies of BM. However i was kind of confused by the ending,
  5. I love this outfit! Those docs are too cute. Song vs. Song

Video Games vs Terrence Loves You
  8. I think their fanbases overlap at some point but for the most part it seems that Lana shares her fanbase mostly with Marina But Gaga and Kesha's fans overlap more than they do with Lana's

    Melanie Martinez

This isn't my opinion henny, it's the most probable outcome. Nowhere near a reach if you've been following both accounts and the situation. The one thing they both acknowledge is that they did have sex of some sort. What I said in my earlier post explains the breach in communication which led to these accusations. ":-)"

    Melanie Martinez

She didn't agree. Melanie took her silence as an agreement and proceeded. I think they are both telling their own versions of the truth. Timothy repeatedly said no, and Melanie pressured her into doing something she didn't want to do so she just let it happen despite being unwilling. Melanie was wrong for assuming that her silence meant consent and should not have done what she did. Melanie thought that since Timothy wasn't saying no, she was saying yes. She continued from one act to the next without any confirmation or reaction from Timothy bc she assumed it was fine. I don't think Melanie had any ill will or intended to rape Timothy but she wasn't paying attention. Now she's blaming the situation on Timothy being fame hungry because in her mind, Timothy consented. There, case solved, everyone go home
  11. Boot, those shorts are too long for her

  17. I see this thread is getting slow and y'all need something to talk about...so go do the LFL rate before its closed
  18. Sadly I feel like that would make the results a little skewed :/ But maybe after this rate is done we can do another album? Maybe Honeymoon? Okay y'all it's been a week, at the end of the day I'm tallying up the results! Get your rates in now if you haven't done so!!!!
  19. At least BBB's lyrics are tonally cohesive/know where they're trying to go, IMF can't say the same In the same short song, we have: "I'm crying while I'm cumming" "Sobbing in my cup of coffee" "You got me in my feelings" (which is outdated twitter slang) "Who's doper than this bitch?"
  20. 13B would only work as an opener if the rest of the songs had the same vibe, it's kind of a standout on LFL bc not many other songs are similar Those strings and lyrics wouldnt make sense opening for an album with messy trap beats and meh lyrics
