I’ve been so obsessed with this dress for YEARS, from the cut to the buttons and my assumption of fabric, that I’ve considered sewing it for myself.

I still can’t really believe the album will be called “Lasso” after the previous one was originally called Did you know that there’s a a tunnel under “Ocean Blvd Pearl Watch Me on Ring a Bell Psycho Lifeguard”. Like, it has to be longer than that, maybe Lasso is just a nickname?

Oh okay, I just didn’t notice his comments until like the past year or so.

Remind me, how much in advance do orders for vinyls have to be? Because if she’s this vague and unsure about the sound and direction, and it’s almost June, Lasso might be released later than September. But then again, she always seems to be vague about her music until it’s out so… who knows?

Genuinely curious, who has Rick Nowels worked with recently? Because these comments are starting to sound a bit desperate, I can’t tell if he genuinely misses their time together or if he just want to work with her to earn more money because she’s a much bigger name now.

I’m honestly looking more forward to this than a country album. I went back in my timeline and I noticed she mentioned writing more in a standards style back in December too! So now I’m more inclined to think the songs will be less personal, like she’s also mentioned several times, but still well written, maybe like the songs in her earlier albums or on LFL. I think they’ll be great! How exciting. The times, back in December: “[she] still intends to write ‘an album of standards — classic, simple songs that could reach even more people than she does now.’”

Do we have more interviews from yesterday aside from NME?

I genuinely love all the recognition she’s been getting the past one-two years. Who cares about the Grammys when this, and other awards, is such an honor to receive. They’re recognizing her songwriting and legacy, isn’t that simply amazing? That’s so much bigger than a Grammy.

I can’t even be mad at her for not wanting to do a stadium tour, she was so genuine and wholesome when she mentioned it in her speech. (I do wish she’d stop doing so many festivals though, I’d prefer concert halls…)

Poorer. No but seriously, she was there for me, as silly as it sounds, when I was feeling my worst. I listened to Love just to hear her sing “don’t worry, baby”, trying to convince myself, or truly believe, that things would eventually become better one day. And they did, it took a few years but they did, and I’m so glad her songs were there as a comfort, as an escape, and something to enjoy a happier moment with. It’s okay to feel sad. It’ll pass eventually. Don’t forget the people who love and support you. I love how she’s unapologetically herself and kept working towards her dream, to release a record and make a name for herself. I think it’s truly inspirational how hard she worked for years to get to the point where she released born to die - it tells me to never give up on our dreams but to keep trying and trying until we get there. Fame might not be what she wanted but I think she’s found a way to live with fame, being a celebrity, and still stay grounded and be who she really is. Maybe, once I or you, or we all, reach our dreams, it won’t be as we imagined but we can work things out and still have them. Always follow your heart. Do what feels best for you. If you want to stay with family, then stay with your family. Never feel obligated to do anything you don’t want to. I think she’s a role model in many ways, and she’s creative in a way I can only wish to be.
