Ask me if we should hang, and not just me asking them.

I heard on the radio just now that she’s said that the music she’s been working on for the past eight years isn’t radio friendly or commercially friendly. I have no idea when we’ll hear it but it sounds interesting.

Why am I picturing this Butterfly song as the perfect candidate for a nightcore remix?

I don’t know… murder is always wrong. But I understand why people aren’t mad, the access to healthcare in the US seems to be… a joke sometimes. I saw a lady on social media yesterday describe how her mom had to visit Iran, a country she had fled from and is under heavy sanctions, to be able to afford cancer treatment… that’s insane.
  8. Beautiful Loser liked a post in a topic by Elle in [POSSIBLE SCAM?] Previously Owned Dress by Lana Up For Auction - Feb. 19th
Update, I heard back from the auction house a few minutes ago saying that they will check with the team as well as consignor of the dress, and thanked me for bringing my concern to their attention.
So, this confirms that the dress is being sold on consignment, meaning someone who owns the dress reached out to the auction house with the dress to be sold through the auction on the owner’s behalf, and the profit will be divided between the owner and the auction house. Honestly, that only adds to my suspicion as this could easily be someone who bought another version of this dress and is trying to scam some money through a fraudulent sale. This also makes me more concerned about some of the other dresses the auction house sold that are common finds, because as @ultrablvd and @longtimeman noted, unless the piece came directly from a reliable source such as Lana herself or a team-member or is a piece that’s either one of a kind or has some unique identifying detail (such as an authentic signature, alteration, or pattern placement like in this scenario) how can it truly be reliably authenticated? It’s also interesting that three of the commonly-found pieces were sold in 2016, because that was a pretty prominent year for LDR dress collectors. There was a whole little Instagram community of dress collectors during that time that I was a part of where we would all help each other identify brands and source dresses for our collections and share our new finds with each other. We would sell and trade with each other too. It’s the year I personally bought both of those Topshop dresses that the auction house also sold, and I know other collectors were sourcing them around then too again since it was a pretty big time for collecting. Again, it just makes me suspicious that since these dresses are being sold through consignment, that the consignors could’ve just been random people scamming with other versions of the dresses they found.
Anyway, I will continue to keep you all updated, but it seems now they are working on verifying the authenticity of the dress with the discrepancies I shared with them - the signature, altered sleeves, and overall pattern. Hopefully this matter gets sorted before the auction is due to go live, or they delay it until it can be 100% verified x

I think it's a good time to let this Weeknd character he has created go. You can only do so many albums and songs with the same themes (girls, parties, drugs, drinks, love, broken hearts) before it starts to feel repetitive. I think he's done everything he can as The Weeknd, and I'm oddly enough not upset or sad about it.
I'm glad that one of the singles, Dancing in the flames, is not on the album. I never liked it. Speaking of singles, São Paulo was another song I didn't understand, I felt underwhelmed and a little disappointed the first I heard it (which was as a single and not at the live performance). Nothing I heard made me feel hyped for this album. But man, I'm glad to have been proven wrong, this is phenomenal, and when São Paulo enters... it all suddenly feels absolutely perfect. Anitta sounds like a little demonic creature, haunting Abel as he enters his version of the afterlife. I love it.
I'm very glad Lana's included on the album considering their friendship which has lasted for well over a decade. "She's the girl in my music and I'm the boy in her music", he once said, so I'm glad Lana could be included in this farewell - it would feel empty, or wrong, if she wasn't.
I think we are being treated very well on this record. It is a long record, I've rarely had time to listen through it all in one go in this little time since it was released, but eventually it starts to feel like the perfect length. It's like a letter to his fans as much as to this alter ego, and perhaps The Weeknd is talking to Abel as well.
Hozier is another artist I love and his latest record "Unreal Unearth" takes you through Dante's version of Hell, and it's interesting, I think, these two albums. The Weeknd's version of the after life is very different from Hozier's Dante Hell, they have nothing in common, but they both seem to bring up topics about what happens after life and judgement and such.
This album is great and a worthy goodbye to The Weeknd. I'm curious to see what musical direction Abel will go next, if it'll be something similar with different lyrical themes or something completely different.

Happy 1st Anniversary to this beautiful song! I realized that it doesn't have a thread here like other soundtracks or covers but in honor of its first anniversary, I'll make a one!

    Blue skies smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies do I see
    Bluebirds singing a song
Nothing but bluebirds all day long

Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right
    Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they fly

Blue days, all of them gone
Nothing but blue skies from now on

Information about Unreal Unearth recording process

1-16: De Selby (Part 1), De Selby (Part 2), First Time, Francesca, I Carrion (Icarian), Eat Your Young, Damage Gets Done, Who We Are, Son of Nyx, All Things End, To Someone From a Warm Climate (Uiscefhuaraithe), Butchered Tongue, Anything But, Abstract (Psychopomp), Unknown / Nth, First Light.

17: Swan Upon Leda. Released as a standalone single to show support for American women in the wake of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, but written and recorded during Unreal Unearth sessions.

18: Through Me (The Flood). Released on the Eat Your Young EP, didn't make it to the final release.

19-22: Too Sweet, Wildflower and Barley, Empire Now, Fare Well. Released on the Unheard EP

23-25: Nobody's Soldier, July, That You Are. Released on the Unaired EP

26: Hymn to Virgil. Written by Sergiu Adrian Gherman, Jeffrey Gitelman, Peter Gonzalez, Daniel Nathan Krieger, Daniel Tannenbaum, and our guy Hozier. This one hurts a bit. Never released nor played live, but mentioned by Hozier in interviews as an alternate ending to Unreal Unearth focusing on the character of Virgil from Dante's Inferno, who was refused ascension from hell.

27-32: Didn't Want the World. Written by Hozier and Jeffrey Gitelman. We don't actually know anything about this one, but it's listed on BMI alongside all other Unreal Unearth tracks. This is the one that got away. Discreet rework and Rob The Goddess lyrics were teased on twitter in 2020, and thought to be apart of a scrapped EP from that year. No info is really known about the other ones.

32 songs were recorded for the album.

someone gave an explanation somewhere on the subreddit. But I'm gonna make a comprehensive list of everything that's still yet to leak. Apparently, there's a ton.
