i love that it was written by her. she’s so smart. also all of the looks are so freaking iconic… like she ate them all up!!!!! period! so much effort !!! her big hair is my favorite look on her stylistically..so i am still shook from this… i also didn’t immediately think she was channeling Priscilla with the big hair? i think the end at the hollywood star was her true self right? idk 🤷♂️

I just really want the video (whatever songs it is for) to make a dent and to be earth shattering like "ride" was, "freak" , "tropico" , "fiily/the greatest" like that level of iconic

I was thinking the reason maybe she is not touring is that sometimes these festivals tell artists "you cannot perform x amount of weeks from the date of the festival" so I fear she isn't going to tour in spring/summer maybe she will in the fall but idk

do y’all think she is back with jack d or are they just pals? seems like he had taken these images right ?

LDRX - Thoughts & Speculations Thread

idk how to explain it, but i really want it to feel WARM like Norman and Honeymoon feel. for some reason those albums make me feel like it’s the hot scolding heat of summer in california and the sun is so bright it’s reflecting off every car and burning your eyes. wildflowerwildfire and taco truck feel this way too but i’d love for an entire album or ep to feel this way. it just feels so magical -
agreed !!! the interview is actually atrocious. especially for such an iconic duo… really disappointing tbh. and the photos.. while definitely cute it feels kinda lazy & maybe they want the simple vibe but idk elton and lana’s cover was like groundbreaking & i don’t even think she’s close to elton. so kinda disappointed there wasn’t more effort!! (we really ate this era so i’m not complaining just my personal opinion)

I personally LOVE "taco truck x vb" I think the way the two blend is so satisfying to my ears and with the: Get High Drop Acid Never Die Not Tonight Lake Placid ... it reminds me of the "live fast die young in RIDE monologue" and this album has so many little "moments" or "allusions" to her past work, so it isn't really lazy in my opinion. in fact its more noticeable to us as a fan than just a general public ear. AND when I first heard it I was like wondering why ... and several possibilities abound of course so someone should ask her..... but - I wonder if maybe whoever the lover was during NFR (the Chase actor guy? mystery San Fran man no one photographed her with she mentioned in rolling stone?) maybe she wrote Venice Bitch around that man & this new "reworked version" is her sort of reclaiming it in a way ?? regardless its an iconic 9 min song... so because it is such an iconic song, maybe its her way of musically speaking to the old lover like "nah, this is no longer about you... im not jealous of YOU & not jealous of not having Your Love" ? idk I sorta saw it as reclaiming the song in a way like her stabbing metaphorically her old lover from his vanity of knowing the song was about him and it's not about him anymore. she's moved on. gone scorched earth? met a new boyfriend at a taco truck??? ending the album more upbeat here and lighter/trappier/fun and getting high in the garden being a baddie vibe idk it just makes sense to me.... of course theres a million other reasons and only lana knows

is it taking anyone else a long time to really enjoy “margaret” ? i think the lyrics are catchy (kinda like a FatherJohnMisty vibe the way she sings it) and it is a very great meaning. but i can’t help but feel like cautious listening. margaret and jack sorta recently got engaged & the song makes it seem like they will be together forever and idk i mean i’m not saying they will end or break up but it’s very rare when 2 people in the spotlight last forever. im just wondering like if they ever do break up this song will be very odd? of course i want them to be together forever but idk i mean it just feels strange. i do love margaret on taco truck tho! it’s perfect. i guess i’m just a hopeless romantic and there aren’t many “successful” marriages in hollywood i’ve noticed aside from goldie hawn and kurt russell and they aren’t even ‘married’ legally

mhm she needs to show the full hand so we can see the ring miss del Rey 😂❤️💅🏻

omg your mind!!!!!! i hope she does tammy wynette too and sharon tate 😭

i keep listening to fingertips & initially i was confused of her not singing the “mother” line but i realize now it’s actually sooooo Profound… the sparkle muted filter fade over “‘mother” is genius…. she won’t even call her or speak/sing her as a “mother” cause she wasn’t - she was presumably horrible to lana and not a “mother figure” lana wanted or needed. of course it can be written lyrically but she won’t even utter ‘her’ the sort of satisfaction of even being called a “mother” wow also the nuance in these lyrics is special. only dedicated fans will truly grasp it. the lore of LdR is forever immortal on tunnel. truly genius

omg you’re missing my point… not begging in a bad way… begging in a subtle way to understand what the metaphor of being sealed up and forgotten means… she’s literally asking ppl to use their brain cells … the album is like a tunnel and it so beautiful. unlike most songs on the radio you are immediately passively listening to a beat and lyric. i don’t mean it in a bad way , someone find a synonym for begging in order to understand the album you have to be paying attention. you can’t subtlety listen.
-
you completely read my mind, on fingertips a light went on in my mind. it’s so powerful and reveals so much with each word and intention but you have to truly be listening … i still don’t understand why she censored the “mother” line but i’m sure she has her reasonings (rob still being married to her maybe) but there is no passive room to listen like with NFR or LFL & it’ll be interesting what songs resonate a few months from now with the GeneralPublic
-
i love how lyrically she is begging for everyone’s attention with this album it’s like testing the viewer/listener to actually pay attention to what she’s saying. and if you don’t, you completely miss it. it’s quite brilliant and risky in the time of tiktok where everyone wants info lightening fast.

her f buddy, rumored bae, we don’t know. he’s in music management and played guitar with jack antonoff. idk much else but his hands are hot lol

he was briefly in the car in the livestream but he was also at the chili cook off thing a year ago when lana had the pigtails and was with her dad and the swarm of fans came and she had to leave
