  1. the locals think the kanye namedrop is shade while the intellectuals would understand that she is saying that the "loss" of him is as saddening to her as the tensions between the countries, LA burning, global warming and more that she lists in the outro of The Greatest.

    grow up.

Well of course it is expressed as a "loss" (lol), but she's shaded him on Instagram anyway while selectively ignoring the fuckery of her other idols she's romanticized who hold far more impact than Kanye so it's really neither here nor there.

Anyway, back to the album. It's nice that they tried something different for How To Disappear, but it doesn't really work for me. Her vocals sound detached from the music. That said I'm glad it didn't result in a boring piano ballad that goes nowhere, she has quite enough of them due to producer incompetency. Can she hook up with a talented pianist like Janko Nilovic or something.

  2. tell him to be a part of something else since you know him so well

Was that supposed to be clever or... :rip:

no but you're choosing to be hella annoying as usual

Girl all u post is links to ur art no one cares about. We're talking about the Kanye namedrop on NFR, which is what this thread is dedicated to. It will be discussed considering Lana's highlighted it twice now.

  3. I agree with your post sis but really NICO??????? She was lowkey highkey a nazi so... Not saying Lou Reed isn't deserving of some drags but... pick a better example when trying to prove a point about it lol

I'm not denying that Nico wasn't a piece of shit, but you're right, thanks!

New example of Lou Reed being a total cunt, this statement: "I hate n***ers like Donna Summer"

  4. The other two are dead and not expressing their current opinions.

Which does not erase their extensive abusive history & the way Lana romanticizes and wilfully ignores their disgusting actions but then goes after Kanye for political differences, sorry!

It's like saying "Harvey Weinstein will be dead in 8.5 years so he's cut him some slack" :rip:

Thank God Julian Lennon tells it how it is about his father.

  5. People who willfully misunderstand Lana’s lyrics don’t deserve to understand them. It’s like our special treat.

People who wilfully ignore their idols fuckery, what with the domestic violence, rape, molestation, etc but then come out guns blazing all over political differences are pandering which is just an indication of autopilot mode and hive mentality. Prioritize one, prioritize all. Otherwise don't bother with the social commentary.

  6. I never said Brian had anything to do with that song. The song is about a paradise in your mind so it’s the perfect metaphor for heaven when talking about Dennis’s death. It could also be referencing that that’s the Beach Boys most hated and ridiculed song and that Dennis’ death earlier that decade represented the real end of the Beach Boys. You’re just purposely not understanding so you have something to complain about.

So she uses a most hated and ridiculed song to symbolize heaven? Make your theory make sense. She either doesn't know about Mike Love's Trump support, or she wilfully ignores it like she ignores all her other idols fuckery while focusing her anger on Kanye.

  7. Because Kanye is not anywhere near the level of Lou Reed, Elvis or John Lennon...

What’s not clicking? Just because Kanye calls himself a mastermind genius in every interview doesn’t make it true lmfao

Yeah, Kanye never married a teenager, or beat his wife like John Lennon did, nor did he make fun of the hearing impaired Nico like Lou Reed did.

Lana should definitely romanticize those people but go after Kanye for political views, but then namedrop Mike Love's creation in the first verse of The Greatest anyways. :rip:

  8. The Kokomo in the Beach Boys song wasn’t one of the real places, but an idealized paradise. She’s clearly using it as a metaphor for Dennis’s death. Like, use your brain, please.

U tried to insinuate Mike Love is irrelevant when she literally mentions a song he crafted without Brian or Dennis (considering Dennis was dead and Brian did not write or sing on it) :rip:

Don't pretend Lana doesn't selectively romanticize her idols when she absolutely does. Lou Reed, Elvis Presley and John Lennon for starters. Yet Kanye is all bullets.

  9. Lana doesn’t even fucking mention Mike Love and he’s the only Beach Boy with those shitty opinions. The only Beach Boy she mentioned was Dennis, who she probably likes due to his manson lsd orgies. But if Mike Love is up for discussion, why don’t we talk about how Brian Wilson, the band’s leader, has always been way more progressive than any of his contemporaries and the exact opposite of his bigoted cousin?

She mentions Kokomo in the next line which has literally nothing to do with Brian Wilson :rip:

  10. Man you should never listen to Joni Mitchell either then. She overuses the word blue even more than Lana does... and she’s considered one of the best lyricists of all time...

Joni Mitchell usually uses blue creatively, rather than "paint me blue, blue, blue, blue, blue blue...blueee.........blue"

The day Lana writes anything like Roses Blue using blue is the day u can quote me with that comparison :rip:
