Yeah, changed it so nobody would get problems, and I didn’t want to post things I wasn’t 💯 sure (plus I have no fucking clue how people get their hands on her music). I might not always agree with you but must say that I respect you and everything you’ve done for this fan base nonetheless.

Yeah, it’s pretty unclear if he is still involved on Lana’s album or if it’s for his own. But honestly, it looks more and more like it’s for his own album (or I’m just delulu and want LDR9 to be done so I can get it sooner )

That’s why I loved the HM era so much: short rollout, all about the music. but to be completely fair to her, short rollouts, these days, can only happen if the album comes out digitally first and physical copies coming later. But the damn vinyl revival, with its super long delays in production, make releases very complicated and longer and we all know how Interscope feels about those and Lana…

So true! The DNC jacket also made us think the album could be coming soon. I also began thinking an album was upon us when I saw a small Twitter circle saying they had heard some new songs (probably other songs she submitted for Euphoria that didn’t get picked up, if what Honeymoon said on IG is true). I’m glad though that she didn’t tease anything yet. I lose all control and patience when snippets are posted.

While I agree this limbo part is boring, I still think it’s an improvement from the last two eras, at least to me: No BS dates, no title that could change, no snippet, not even a song title that could end up being scrapped. She is only revealing what is 💯 sure. Plus The photo spread from W Mag was gorgeous. This period of time is similar to when she revealed she was working on WHF, the day NFR was released: We knew at some point something would be coming, when she felt it would be done. Plus I still enjoy BB and Buddy’s RV weekly (but I understand that if BB let you down, someone could be very curious if the next album will be more satisfying). our problem is that we kinda all jumped so hard when we saw W Mag, thinking the era had started.

And let’s not forget that in the interview when she shared the title, she said the album would be done by the beginning of that year, which made us believe that the 1000 snippets she was sharing in October meant the album was coming very soon

Next Sunday, I’m going away for a week for a summer trip: Watch her announce something during that week. She did so during the HM era, with the first snippets for the title track while I was on a trip in California; she finally launched the NFR era with the release date, trailer, cover and tracklist while I was in Rome (with very little wifi).

I don’t expect LDR9 to sound very summery, to be honest, and I’m fine with that, but if she decided to go back to more summery sounds, something like The White Lotus soundtrack could be amazing (it’s an incredible series by the way, very cynical and funny). that piece, in particular, could fit Lana’s vibes (and hell, it has piano in it ) other standouts from this soundtrack:

July is still not over… The albums that are announced, with a lead and all, these days, have an October release date, so it’s still not over for LDR9 to come out this year if she’s done recording and mastering it. Besides, if it’s coming in 2023, the lead will be out before the end of year and who knows? There is surely a side project to dig our teeth into in the meantime.

Love all the songs she made with TLSP, but I do wonder how many of them there are still left to use. Four already found their way to albums (including Loaded)… Miles hinted that they had recorded enough for an album, if I remember correctly… or he might have exaggerated a bit (including demo-ish songs).

Not if you want physical copies alongside the digital release. November makes more sense since December is usually not the best month for an artist because of XMas but with Lana, who knows (or does she care lol)?
