I’m wondering that myself. either… 1- soon clearly doesn’t have the same definition for Lana / team and us; 2- she wanted to add a song or two to the lot when she thought she was done, so when Ben said “soon”, he thought she was done recording ; 3- the music industry is still struggling a bit, with their releases / plans / vinyls delays and things change very often; 4- something big is just around the corner; 5- there might have been some delays caused by the current political situation in the US, with the threat to abortion rights, and artists might have decided to push back their announcements / releases not to be seen as insensible; 6- all of the above?

If she filmed a MV or did a photoshoot, I’d be happy, to be honest.

To be honest, I always thought it was a reach, that she’d do a 10-day whatever in NYC, if Tropico took only 3 days. It’s not Beyoncé we’re stanning here, to release a movie alongside an album.

I’m still hoping for some news in July (hopefully before Beyoncé drops, is she wants GP to notice lol), but in the meantime, I’m surprised that I’m enjoying BB very much these days, even though I never associated it with summer. BB clearly has that “cabin feeling”, and I guess that I’m having a reflective summer after all. Arcadia was superb around July 4 (even though I’m not American), BBS is still incredible after all these months, VFR is emblematic of the times we are living in. Even the “motherhood songs” (NOTG till SC), which I never really got into, sound incredibly good.

You’re probably right that the demo wouldn’t have fitted the documentary. as for the demo, I listened to it only twice : When I heard she said “she wants to die and she should fucking try”, I said to myself: “Thank God she changed the lyrics on that one: the backlash she would have received if that had been the final version would have been insane”. Plus I really like the lyrics of the final version, and she sang with Legend Stevie Nicks, it really adds to the song.

Hell na. i hate the demo of that song: it’s just sheer pain and desperate. The final version has its flaws for sure, but at least it’s not contemplating ending someone’s life

I think the speculation about the emoji being related to DNC is because disco begins with a D and the number of emojis, but who knows? Maybe @fl0r1dak1l0s is just messing with us.

Super late to the party, but are the emoji posted about the DNC song, or separate songs? Disco could have its official release… and then there would be two other songs with the night and the cracker… if those emoji stand for DNC, where does the wave from the logo on her jacket come into this?!?

He claims he heard some songs from the album. Apparently when Lana called them raw, he said they were very raw indeed. But from what I gathered, he doesn’t seem to know what has been going on lately.

At this point, all I want is bigger production than the last two. If she delivers something fun and breezy, fine, but if she wants to continue on the path of singer-songwriter-sad girl shit, I’m fine with it also. Buddy’s RV is still a song I go back to frequently and It’s nowhere near a “summer song” haha

Well, the most reliable two seem to be on high scrutiny by Lana’s team: every time Eclipse posts something, her team is asking him to take it down; and BoZ liked a comment that was asking if he got silenced by Lana’s team, on her birthday. I’m pretty sure one of them will hint at something a bit before it drops or something is set in motion. However, others who hinted at something on LB don’t seem to know anything of the latter plans… When MaC and VB were announced, I don’t remember anyone saying something was coming prior to her announcement (ok, maybe one of the Twitter “leakers” that said she was scheduled to release two songs by the end of summer, which turned out to be true after all). So maybe the last stages of LDR9 have been more secure than the rest of its early stages?

I wish I could understand why the Grants are posting what they are posting Chuck’s latest… is it because she wants to blow something up because of the political / social climate in the States? Is it related to Lana and her new project? Is she pissed at her BF ?
