I do hear a lot of « her story » elements to many songs on BB, even if she didn’t explain them explicitly: - TextBook: I was looking for the father I wanted back; - BB: there’s a hole that’s in my heart; - Arcadia and BBS respond to her numerous critics throughout her career and recently; - Beautiful is probably about a guy but also about critics that said she romanticized depression and sadness; - all the songs from wFWF through SC are about motherhood: How her mother raged at her and left many scars in her, how she wants to be a mother herself, how she found a new spiritual one (LL) and how she embraces her sister’s motherhood. - the other songs are mostly love stories, and although not that revealing, they do give us some insight on how she loves. anyways, for LDR9, the lyrics could be still personal, but maybe just a tad more production / beats / guitars, please.

This is insane A ten-year-old album is doing better than Adele’s newest one… Lana, drop the lead to LDR9, especially if it has any upbeat-ish tempo to it…

Ever since we got three previously leaked songs on BB, I hope she releases them on the album or the next. I’m now a bit scared when a new completed song leaks… it kinda spoils their place on the album if not reworked if she decides to release them officially ( I know, I could decide not to listen to the leaks, but I have no control)

Like I said, I don’t know anything for sure. And it would mean that Honeymouns wasn’t trolling, which they sometimes do in their stories. and as of the « how » those leaks happened in the first place, 🤷🏼.

It’s basically speculation on my part, but I’ll summarize what I remember. - back when BoZ started teasing Watercolor Eyes, in December, other Twitter accounts and users here started describing the song, but a couple also said they had heard other tracks as well (not much was said, except that one was very ambiant, atmospheric, and one sounded like If You Lie Down With Me). It was also around the time Eclipse said, on ATRL, that she was exploring a new sound that would possibly begin a new cycle of albums. At the time, we didn’t know that WCE was a soundtrack song only (we thought it was part of LDR9 ). I don’t think that Eclipse’s assumption was made just by listening to WCE only. - in winter or early spring, Honeymouns said in his IG story that WCE was part of a couple songs sent to Euphoria but that only WCE got picked by show. I put two and two together about those tracks circulating back in December, in small circles and the Euphoria songs. I could be wrong though and we have no idea if those rejected songs will be on the next album (same thing happened with Big Eyes, where that track and I Can Fly got picked, but the demo to BPBP and the Good Life got tossed aside).

TV is incredible!!! 30th doesn’t do much for me, but TV is just 🤩 And it’s clear why she debuted it live at the beginning of June.

The whole album had its biggest steaming day ever yesterday. I really hope she is coming soon with the lead.

Yeah, changed it so nobody would get problems, and I didn’t want to post things I wasn’t 💯 sure (plus I have no fucking clue how people get their hands on her music). I might not always agree with you but must say that I respect you and everything you’ve done for this fan base nonetheless.

Yeah, it’s pretty unclear if he is still involved on Lana’s album or if it’s for his own. But honestly, it looks more and more like it’s for his own album (or I’m just delulu and want LDR9 to be done so I can get it sooner )

I honestly don’t know how songs get leaked these days. I really am not in the secret of the gods…

That’s why I loved the HM era so much: short rollout, all about the music. but to be completely fair to her, short rollouts, these days, can only happen if the album comes out digitally first and physical copies coming later. But the damn vinyl revival, with its super long delays in production, make releases very complicated and longer and we all know how Interscope feels about those and Lana…

So true! The DNC jacket also made us think the album could be coming soon. I also began thinking an album was upon us when I saw a small Twitter circle saying they had heard some new songs (probably other songs she submitted for Euphoria that didn’t get picked up, if what Honeymoon said on IG is true). I’m glad though that she didn’t tease anything yet. I lose all control and patience when snippets are posted.

While I agree this limbo part is boring, I still think it’s an improvement from the last two eras, at least to me: No BS dates, no title that could change, no snippet, not even a song title that could end up being scrapped. She is only revealing what is 💯 sure. Plus The photo spread from W Mag was gorgeous. This period of time is similar to when she revealed she was working on WHF, the day NFR was released: We knew at some point something would be coming, when she felt it would be done. Plus I still enjoy BB and Buddy’s RV weekly (but I understand that if BB let you down, someone could be very curious if the next album will be more satisfying). our problem is that we kinda all jumped so hard when we saw W Mag, thinking the era had started.

And let’s not forget that in the interview when she shared the title, she said the album would be done by the beginning of that year, which made us believe that the 1000 snippets she was sharing in October meant the album was coming very soon

Next Sunday, I’m going away for a week for a summer trip: Watch her announce something during that week. She did so during the HM era, with the first snippets for the title track while I was on a trip in California; she finally launched the NFR era with the release date, trailer, cover and tracklist while I was in Rome (with very little wifi).

Where did you hear the song?

I don’t expect LDR9 to sound very summery, to be honest, and I’m fine with that, but if she decided to go back to more summery sounds, something like The White Lotus soundtrack could be amazing (it’s an incredible series by the way, very cynical and funny). that piece, in particular, could fit Lana’s vibes (and hell, it has piano in it ) other standouts from this soundtrack:
