I think Interscope will allow Lana to choose which song to send to him for a possible remix. I bet they are pushing for a new song… but in the end, who knows what will happen? i really don’t know what music he makes, but could a Serene Queen remix be possible? It’s not really on the dope trope, but the gangsta reference could fit a rapper feat.

I wonder if the album will « fit the season ». I know we all live in different places and seasons associated with music are relative, but her last two albums didn’t quite match the season they were released in (for most of the songs). COCC really has a late fall- winter vibe, while BB has a very spring feeling to it, IMO. And I know it had to do with delays in vinyl production and such… but until that, all of her albums fitted the season they were released in.

True, so true. although when she first teased WHF, it was in an interview and I knew it would take longer than what she had said, plus there was no song description or general sound of it. But the RCS cover with the damn false date was something else.at least she had released three singles just before that and we got the album not too long after the second false release date. When she teases with a snippet though, the damn song better come soon after that because I lose all patience.

Hahaha 🤣 As much as I hate when she blurs out a BS date, it’s also very exciting anyways, not expecting anything before summer. Then maybe a single? still hoping for some summery Lana back… Like why not put out an EP of her bombastic songs with Jack for summer?

Probably highly unpopular, but I’ll say it… so far, with their respective work with Lana… Jack > Mike Dean I like WFWF, especially the last minute of it, but I feel like Lana missed an opportunity with Mike, to let him go way wilder than she let him. I mean, as much as WFWF is good, it doesn’t really scream Mike Dean and could have been produced by the LFL team

I wouldn’t mind one unreleased. Nectar of the Gods is perfect on BB. But if she went back to rework the end of Fine China (the end is way too long and sounds way too much like Vagina ), it would be perfect.

The Good Life needs to be on the cover album. Fine China has some of her best choruses ever. It could also be on the country album (thematically, it fits so well). if LDR9 is more bop-ish, Serene Queen would be just wonderful. As for the outtakes from BTD, I feel they are too old to fit anywhere but on a B-side rerelease of the album. I’m dying to hear LYTAN since it was considered to be the inspiration for BB’s former title.

bah i really don’t think it’s coming that fast. As long as I have yet to hear Buddy’s Rendezvous, I’m in no rush for LDR9, since I don’t know what to think anymore about all the contradictory info we got about it.

I Love pretty much everything she did with Jack, and I never was afraid that their work would sound like another artist he is working with… until I heard Lorde’s Solar Power, which sounds like Taylor and Lana’s albums, on some level. Until that, i never thought Jack could « duplicate » himself. So, thus far, Lana’s work with Jack is unique and I wouldn’t mind a couple of tracks of them together, just maybe not Jack being the main producer of yet another Lana album.

I always thought that Looking for America could have been one of those, just bit changed in the light of the shootings that took place during the time she finished it. Maybe hope was some sorta of draft from the LFL sessions (she did say that it took her three years to finish it, with Jack’s help, plus it complements Heroin super well).

I think that information has been given to us by honeymoon. The 100 songs probably include the songs with the TLSP, many rough demos or unfinished parts (like the rumoured Sugary Sweet from the HM sessions or Valley of the Dolls) and demos to songs that made it to the album (like the LFL demo). I doubt that there were 100 finished songs like Serene Queen.
