Actually, Jesse R from the Neighborhood has posted, in his IG stories this week, a pic of him in the studio. Plus his recent looks really have these retro / vintage vibes, and he did say that he had kept his Lana collab for a specific project… Will 2022 finally be the year we’ll hear that damn collab?!? as for MGK, well, he has kept his collab in his hard drive for so long it probably won’t ever fit any album ever.

Ok, back to LDR9 speculations then

Heard the new songs… and… the demos: they’re cute, but I’m never a big fan of demos unless they bring something else altogether to a song. Happy Loner is so good because it resonates so much with me. Pink Convertible: super production, loved the preview but it went into a direction I wasn’t expecting (as in: more Buzzfeed type of lyrics about the planet). I’m sure it will grow on me, like most of the songs from this album (the lyrics are a bit cringy at times and not subtle at all, which i needed to be reminded of) Free Woman is the one I connect the least at the moment. Not bad, but not super memorable at the moment for me.

This is way too much 80s music to my taste. I’m sure I’m missing out on an excellent album (critics say so so far), but it’s really the type of music I can’t stand.

Interscope has all the interests in the world to have a reissue with mega deluxe variants: it’s still her best bestseller, it’s still charting, there are so many opportunities with the leaks and unreleased songs. Even Lana has to do something: I mean, it’s still a big part of her set list, and it’s still one of her main sources of incomes

That and a couple of outtakes from this era would serve (French Restaurant wouldn’t feel out of place now that she served us many piano ballads on other albums; Serial Killer, Queen of Disaster, etc.) and who knows? Maybe the Emile / Mike song is for THIS project

Posting it here… not a confirmation of any sorts, I know y’all gonna bitch that’s it’s Dior Leaks and he ain’t credible blabla (he often checks out to be honest with many artists, because he has several sources; certain are reliable others ain’t. I know he ain’t more reliable than Eclipse or BoZ and often posts their info, but I’ll take rumours over the shit shot that was LDR9 ‘s prerelease thread this week 😂😂) I also know it ain’t any confirmation that it’s BTD either (Teenage Dream and one of Beyoncé’s albums also turn 10 this year, but the American 🇺🇸 flag is a hint on that direction).

I’m still hesitating to preorder the deluxe, though I love Funny girl and all the snippets so far. Apparently, a preorder makes it possible to stream the album a couple of weeks before release; I wonder if it includes Lana’s cover as well…

I slept on Happy Loner… and I must say it’s really good. Now, there is a lot of hype around Pink Convertible, i can’t wait!!

I never read BoZ’s original post about it, I must say, but I remember reading she might release it in February… if it’s true, then she would be the main singer on it… but maybe I just read someone’s interpretation of the post 😅

She’s covering FJM’s song. No clues yet if she helped pen the track, but it seems unlikely. If the song sounds anything like the first single, Funny Girl, it should be an incredible track (à la If You Lie Down With Me)

Just woke up to the news… I love the new single, but its getting expensive, to be her stan and spend 78$ US to hear her version of Buddy’s Rendez-Vous But what is exciting is that we still have no idea what is the February collab

Father John Misty is releasing the first single from his upcoming album at midnight (album April 8). Single is called Funny Girl… and that’s all we know. Could it be the rumoured collab with Lana?!?
